Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW + Brusho Glittery Christmas Cards

Well hi there everyone isn't the year flying by.. ducking in quickly with a post but wont be here for few days, so not much commenting till weekend - sorry folks..
Here is my desk this morning, was busy doing some diecutting yesterday for a friend. Two of the dies (ones at the very back, feathers and happy birthday) are Chinese ones, Shaz Silverwolf share a while back, so tried getting some, takes four weeks to Oz). On left is a pile of die cuts ready to make a DT card for mid month. Christmas one of course.
I saw an image of some plants under water, in greens in midst of blue and though mm wonder if I can replicate that in Brushos. So out they came +  gloss card (works best on this I think) and used mainly cobalt blue, touches of burnt sienna, olive and lime green. I really loved it and thought, mm, that kind of looks like a night sky so incorporated it into these cards.
First used Memory box mask of star background with Cosmic glitter paste, on white card. Then mounted the black card with SB Pierced rectangles. Added the scenes I was colouring on last WOYWW, they were gift from friend. Of course added the verse of : "
Unto us a Child is born."
It is is springtime downunder and the sweetpeas have been simply magnificent. I would love to share the fragrance with you! the sea scenes below were taken from a headland about 30 mins north of here.

Well, I'm delighted to welcome some new wonderful encouragers .. a break of six weeks since having any - AND in that time the numbers went in reverse!
Now they've come in with a rush, what a joy it is!
Wow! these do some imaginative stamping and card making! You will learn much from these clever crafters.. a pleasure to visit..
.... so do pop over to their blogs and give them some encouragement!

I CAN almost smell your sweet peas! I have just one hardy geranium trying valiantly to survive our rather chilly nights here. It will soon be gone for the season too. Very sad. Your nativity cards are fantastic. It does look like a night sky. You are so creative.
Blessings,
Betsy

It's so nice to think that here, where we are starting the winter months and we get snow here and there, and everything is dying, that you are getting Spring! It just warms my heart. Wouldn't it be nice to go back and forth from here to Australia and only get Spring and Summer, then Spring and Summer again! Enjoy Spring, the Sweetpeas are beautiful!

You are going into Spring just as we begin the descent into cold weather here! Usually by this time we have had a hard frost but not this year. Still quite warm and very, very dry! I'm always glad to visit and hope you have a great rest of the week!

Oh Shaz, I can almost smell those sweet peas, they are beautiful.
Thos dies from China are very good value, I have ordered the round Happy Birthday one, but they take 8 or 9 weeks to get here, so I still haven't got mine.
And the nativity cards are beautiful, the colouring of the sky is just amazing.
Bless you

Just splendid work with the brusho colors. What a beautiful background sky it created for the sweet manger scene. Both are just lovely. Enjoyed seeing the pretty bouquet of flowers, and as always, the wonderful scenery. Brusho-s work well on mixed media c/s too, just not as glossy as with the c/s as you've used. Work nicely on Yupo paper as well. TFS & Hugs

Hi Shaz,
I love the spring and summer, so I'm a little envy the of spring :-) but on the other hand, Christmas always reminds me of winter and snow, so somehow stand calmly winter in Europe.
Your Christmas cards are very beautiful. The background is so unusual, and you're right, reminiscent of distant galaxies. God is the Lord of the universe, and this is a great symbolism.
