Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Calligraphy Eamon Sleeps Here, Starry Christmas cards + WOYWW

(Warning - photo heavy post! )
Hi there everyone, As it is Wednesday, I've a desky share - for What is On Your workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to our Julia's desk for the link up, at Stamping Ground!
To my desk, or actually yesterday’s desk, I’m working on finishing some cards here, was very busy so left mine unfinished.
Christmas is the theme at the moment as realising how quickly the year is flying away... and not all my cards done. I visited a friend for two nights last week and made her some Christmas cards, and some for myself as well, here’s one. I bought ages ago this silver Cosmic shimmer embossing paste and finally used some of it, very pretty.
Now to some calligraphy...

I also promised a few weeks ago (see back here) to share the calligraphy “Eamon sleeps here” as it’s been opened I can share it now, remember this is a copy, see original post for details on how I did it.
Will share Eamon’s Card (previewed here), too.
Eamon’s card was made with a mask, a giraffe mask or stencil bought very cheaply a Chinese one .. but to be honest, it’s only worth what I paid for it, as it’s very thin. Embossed first the stencil in cuttlebug. Then inked up with Distress inks, and sealed in with versamark and embossing powder
Creating a scene with masked off giraffes, sky and grass plain, using ink dusters. Then adding various stamps, Darkroom Door tree set and some Stampscapes too, and coloured it with Caran D’Ache pencils.
Now the Christmas card... used a Memory Box starry night stencil, and paste, adding a layered die cut by Kaisercraft (disc.) of star bought on sale, then added some digi verse, are four of these. The verses are by Karen Murray of Word Art Wednesday (link to Karen Murray Word Art Etsy Shop, currently in recess but email her on site, maybe might be able to buy Christmas set)..

Now to Aussie Shots, image above was taken on my phone this afternoon after dropping car off for service. Water was soooo pretty, high tide at the creek. The one below was taken when out with dad, we had a cuppa a the Clog barn and checked out the garden display. Love the water dragons on white stones near the water, posing as still as statues, water lilies too very pretty.
Thanks so much for all your loving, caring comments, too! I'm improved in health just this past week which is a really great blessing, and received a good report (for me :D) from my Syd Dr's visit too, much answered prayer. God is very good.
Crafty hugs and may our God richly bless your day in every way.

Hi Shaz, firstly, so happy to hear your health is improving. I think it's only when you have had illness, you realise just how much we take good health for granted. I love the Christmas Card, I've developed quite a liking for glittery stencil paste, and can tell you that if you buy a pot of Translucent paste, you can easily make your own adding in whatever glitter colour you like. Lovely Giraffe card too. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #10 XxX

Hi Shaz. So glad your health is improving and the Dr's visit was good! Your card is great and that calligraphy just wonderful. Something I have never ever tried. John could do it - but never attempted anything big like your plaque. Great Aussie shots.
Thanks for your visit and comments. Yes, I'm busy - but hope to get some time off to do a couple of jigsaws over the Christmas period!!! I see I am not the only one who helps out friends by making them some Christmas cards.... haven't even started on my own yet! After the craft fair I think!
Take care young lady. God bless.

The cards are beautiful and little Eamon is a lucky boy to have such a cute giraffe and bird visiting him.
That Christmas card is stunning. Absolutely gorgeous my dear friend. And now, I have a doctors visit in an hour or so, so I better get off of the computer and get ready.

Love the photo from when you went out with your dad, hope he is keeping well. So nice that you can have time out with him from your busy schedule.
Finally, good news on your health. That is the kind of thing you need to be hearing.
Take care and thanks for the link.

Hi Shaz. Glad to hear your health is improving. I fell in love with the giraffes. I know what you mean about the stencils from China. It's a cheap option for me... if I use them I can always invest in some better quality ones. Have a lovely week Heather #5
