Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Rudolph Christmas Card Challenge - Tim Holtz Mask

Hi one and all, so busy downunder so blogging has suffered still been making cards though!

A wee peek! it is a new TH holly stencil I bought before Christmas .. technically part of my Christmas present. I spent more that should have, so miss out on Crafty birthday present, as on total buying ban!! :D except for necessities like mounting tape, of which I am nearly out.
Snippet or strip of card applied with gold Dreamweaver embossing paste allowed to dry, then sprayed with shimmer mist, mounted and added to card. Verse is Digi by Karen Murray.
For the card below it's stencilled with white texture paste, allowed to dry -> added inks in areas, using stencil to direct ink, and used Golden Glitz ink around background area. Embossing folder on side is a Sizzix set.
The Aussie shot.. spent few days on beach last week, though not here out at my sister's beach! Had few days out there .. :D
Have loads of card unpublished so must get my act together!

And yes I've been very bad in responding to your kind comments.
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek, especially if you stay for a chat!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

Totally fabulous Shaz - as Len would say, just like you would buy in a shop. Which is a top compliment from him! So glad you're having some 'Me' time!

WOW Shaz this is an absolute beauty...love how you have combined the stencil and the embossing in such a creative way!!! My creative brain is often stencil challenged...I have to remember to use them and then again very often am unhappy with what I can achieve. Your project is such an inspiration.
Now donning my DT hat...
Thank you so much for joining us at the Rudolph Days Challenge!

Oh, precious Shaz, it's wonderful to see your beautiful cards! I love the beautiful verse from Matthew and how you've made the stars gold! What a stunning stencil, and I love the gold and also the one with colors! I'd be hard pressed to choose one over the other - both are stunning! It's such a beautiful shot of your sister's beach. Looks like it was a beautiful and glorious day!! Much love and hugs! xoxo

I don't know any of the card making lingo. None at all so I have no idea how you put these works of art together week after week. I just know that I love them and the way you give all glory to God in the verses you use.
Your Aussie shot is so pretty. I'm looking forward to spring arriving here, but trying to enjoy the winter as well.
Many blessings,
Betsy

These are both gorgeous Christmas cards, Shaz. I think my fave is the second one with the oval framed verse. You spent a lot of time building up that background and it is amazing!

Thanks for taking part in the January Rudolph Days Challenge.

Beautiful cards Shaz - love the one you have coloured with the gold background, but the stenciled one is really stunning.

I have been really busy with the gardens again so have not been visiting much eother... the weather has been really hot here 5-6 days at over 30 oC!! followed by thunderstorms a lot of the time, so everything is grown in madly. I have crafted when it got too hot as I have an aircon unit in the studio - thankfully.
Blessings

Super cards! I'm especially impressed by how well you were able to place the colors on the right areas on your second card. And the gold adds an extra bit of elegance. Well done!
