Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Alcohol Marker Marbling + Coat Many Colours contd + WOYWW

Hullo, hullo! It’s Wednesday... again! As it’s a fortnight since I blogged I’ve really no right to be surprised, but I am! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ƒ And yes, for those in the know Wednesday tis desks of the world for WOYWW - What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday … so head over to Julia’s - peek, learn and share - do!

My desk: here am trying yet another new to me technique. Tumbled across this video showing Alcohol Marker Marbling  so out came gloss cardstock, alcohol markers (I’ve allsorts, whatever is cheapish here in Oz) and alcohol spray (bought from Jaycars store here in Oz). The video used a new ziplock bag, but I’ve enough bags around without using that.
For the first piece I had a sea scene in mind, hence colours, added bit more as not happy, so can play with it more than once.
Show sea scene below.
Here are some lighter ones tried no idea what they will be for.
Here is the sea scene, managed to add card, later. (Darkroom Door Sail Away set + Happy Birthday is Lawn Fawn Greetings, watercolours background piece).

Now the Joseph coat of many colours from last week, see here!

These are most of cards made although still one not shared as not received yet.

These are all stamped with disc Elusive Images set from a decade ago). The verses are from ODB Scripture set 1, Happy Birthday also ODB. SU scallop punches, and rectangle sets are from Scrapdragon.

Used oxides on this one - DOX (colours?) a mauve and blue inked randomly over base cardstock, then stamped + clear heat embossed thistle stamp, again randomly. Then inked over with Distress Ink deep blue Chipped Sapphire. It was different from other coat of many colours that I did, because of Oxide effect. Just for you is Creative Expressions Sue Wilson die set.

Now to Aussie shots.

This is the lemon hibiscus “Marnie” out the front yesterday, I reckon it was 8” or 20cm across, quite big some of them as we’ve had showers and sunshine just as they like.
And this was on a walk a few days ago down near the creek.
Lastly I went for swim the other day, it was perfect swim walk along beach, then swim again! How blessed am I? It’s actually too cool today for a swim and rainy so walk only.

Every blessing of the LORD everyone where ever you maybe and thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat..
Mm, am way behind these days so will call back eventually!
Special loving, keeping prayers and gentle, caring hugs for our wonderful WOYWWer Shaz and her devoted hubby, Doug.
Prayer hugs, πŸ™πŸ€— Shaz in Oz.x

Thought for the day:
"In the world ye shall have tribulation,
but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Each day that dawns may seem overwhelming, but if we put our faith and full trust just like a little child in the Lord Jesus, then we indeed will be of good cheer.
Once in my teens, after a horrid period in hospital full of tests and unpleasantness, I received a card in mail from my family three hundred miles away. It lives in my memory. Simple but true... it had flower hearts all over over it and it simply said: (on the front) CHEER UP..
(inside) SOMEBODY LOVES YOU! πŸ’œ♥️πŸ’œ❤️πŸ’œ
Thats really what this verse is telling me.
And that Someone is God the Father!
He loves us all!

Linking up with also:
** 1. Snippets playground for Darkroom Door card, also couple of Coat of many colours.
** 2. Word Art Wednesday - anything goes. All cards  http://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com.au/

** 4. Simon Says Monday Challenge Resist it! The three Coat of many colours are resist technique, clear embossed over painted or (inky in purple blue card) background.
** 5. Coat of many colours card with NBUS stamp Scottish thistle is linked two cards with one stamp, it’s a large set this stamp is from, yet unused most of them except for two the fern and lavender all this time. More NBUS to use next time!!!

Thanks for your visit earlier, the new toy is a Kit n Caboodle ProCut. Just loving it, small enough to sit on my desk top yet takes large dies and EF.
Love the new cards, will take a look at the video later, it being Wednesday I am waiting on my youngest Grandson to arrive!
Love the cards though, so different and cheerful.
Take care, enjoy the beachside but stay safe
God Bless you

Morning Shaz. What a lovely selection of cards - you have been busy. Unlike me! That hibiscus is huge!! And a beautiful colour. A swim, a walk, a swim!! I reckon I would be completely nuts to go in our sea at the moment - I don't know what temperature it would be at... probably 2-5? Overnight - Scotland I imagine - it was -17!!! - not the water, just the air temperature.
Take care. God bless.

Good Morning sweet Sister Shaz! What a joy to open my blog this morning and see a post full of your beautiful cards. It's still a mystery to me how you take paper, ink and scissors and make such works of art.
The hibiscus is stunning. Our world is full of browns and grays right now. Not a flake of snow, (which is just fine with me.) It IS cold 6F which I just looked up and that's 14C! It's cold, but not nearly as cold as most of the U.S. so I'm not complaining. So far we are staying cozy and warm in our RV with the furnace and space heater during the day. The biggest thing is keeping water ins and outs unfrozen! Honestly? If Mom didn't need our help we would be very happy to stay living in our RV indefinitely. It's very cozy and comfortable with all of the comforts of a house and without all of the "stuff". Less to clean means more time for studying the Bible and my crafting too. Especially on these cold winter days. I love being inside here.
I hope you're well and healthy. I like the sound of the walks on the beach and wish I could be right beside you my dear friend.
Take care and stay safe and well.
Blessings,
Betsy

Terrific cards and fun techniques to try. The lighter two look like a sky scene that you could put a kite or hot air balloon maybe? The beach looks beautiful, I'm glad you got to enjoy a swim the other day :) blessings on your week!

Beautiful cards and an interesting technique. Tried something similar with sharpies using a tile, but it didn’t work very well. Perhaps I didn’t spray enough? Happy WOYWW Angela #12

Hi Shaz, I have never tried the technique with alcohol markers and alcohol spry, it seems interesting, I will try one day...
You have been so busy, lovely array of cards! The colourful one with Joseph coat is just awesome!!
Lovely shot as always of you piece of earth, and such beautiful lemon hibiscus flower!
Hugs and blessings on your way

Well , did you know that we can’t buy alcohol like that here? I end up bringing it back from an overseas holiday. Ridiculous isn’t it, what they will and won’t supply over the counter! Anyway, that is a really useful technique isn’t it. Love that you rebel and don’t rush out and get a ziploc bag! The result is amazing Shaz, I expect you’ll be using that idea a lot. Lovely pics of real people on the beach, so nice to see!

I so love your "Joseph Coat of many colors" cards, so beautiful. The Aussie photos are just lovely, the beach one makes me long for summer so much. Cold and snowy here, just got 3 more inches of snow, so will be going out and shoveling in a bit. Brrrrr! I'd rather be taking a swim with you on that lovely beach! Precious Shaz! How stunning the card you've sent me is! I truly love the technique and actually loved the watercolor background rather than the "traditional" one I've seen using the Joseph coat of many colors. Stunning, and I love the Scripture verse. Thank you for your continued prayers for me! You are such a blessing to me in many ways. I'm so glad you were able to go for a swim and enjoy a walk on the beach. We are so blessed to live where we do, Shaz! We certainly love it here in South Florida! Hugs and love and praying for you! xoxo
