Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Student's Illuminated Calligraphy ~ Lorikeets feeding + WOYWW

{Warning picture heavy post.}
Hullo there everyone, have been absent a lot of late - BUT today is time for WOYWW - DO  hop over to What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday over at Julia's blog HERE....
Finally after much procrastinating, am posting the calligraphy works by my final lot of students doing the calligraphy course (which have been teaching for years now). I've decided this will have to be the last year as health suffered.
However the results are such a great blessing, and the LORD graciously answered much prayer, for which I am very grateful.
So here is my Desk a few weeks back!

Here are the five students texts as group then will show them one by one by students, aged 14 years, approx - at our church school. In no particular order. For their previous project please see here:
Illuminated text by Talitha in Oz.
Illuminated text by Timothy in Oz.
Illuminated text by James in Oz.
Illuminated text by Katelyn in Oz.
Illuminated text by Brianna in Oz.
As normally include some Oz photos here are some photos of a Rainbow lorikeet feeding in our garden, and just loving the dwarf Coral tree/ Erythrina.

Well, in haste, so must close.
I thank  you so much for taking the time to pop over for a peek and chat; and I pray the LORD may bless your day wherever you may be! I will return comments as able but I DO appreciate them so very much if I dont get back to you,
Shaz in Oz.x

You must be a fabulous teacher Shaz, to have your students do such beautiful work. You must be quite happy with them all. The lorikeet is beautiful. I can't imagine living somewhere where such a gorgeous bird would be in my backyard.
Blessings,

Talitha, Timothy, James, Katelyn, Brianna - well done. Your work is simply beautiful!!!
Well done to the teacher as well - your skill in passing on this beautiful method of writing is very obvious in the work produced!!
Trusting your health is recovering after the stresses of being in a classroom again, Shaz. I know I couldn't go back in there now!
That bird is amazing. The plant grows in your garden??? Wow!
Take care - good to see your name on the list this week.

Hi Shaz,
Lovely work by your students! You must be very pleased with them.
We get lots of parrots here mainly eating the camellias!
About the bargain stamps. I know, the maths sounds wrong, but all three were originally $29.95 EACH (daylight robbery), but two were marked down to $4 and the other to $5 and then everything on the Sale table was half price again ... and that's how we get $6.50 :)
This shop charges top prices so I usually only go there when I go to the GP who is across the road and then I make a beeline for the back of the store where the sale table is, and sometimes you can be "lucky" :)
Hope your health is improving?
And thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate that,

Shaz,
The students thrived under your care, This work is lovely. I always want to learn calligraphy, took one little 2 hour course and got nowhere fast. I enjoy the birds, we have nothing here so colorful. Thank you for sharing your students' beautiful creations with us this week. It is an honor for us to have you visit.
Blessings,

The student's works are beautiful - you must be a wonderful teacher Shaz.

Love the photos of the rainbow lorikeets. They are such characters and I love having them in our garden too.

Sorry haven't been around much. My laptop developed a major fault last weekend so spent an extraordinary amount of time trying to fix it. I got it up and running again finally but then it kept shutting down randomly which damaged the hard drive - and so the story goes on and on - takes so much time to fix these things.......anyway, trying to catch up as best I can.....

{{hugs}} and prayers
