Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW, and catching up!

Hullo everyone - well have been MIA for more time than ever before but there has been too much going on to have time.. We went away, then I was sick, then took time to catch up! but without any more ado..
.. here tis WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground!
This was gift card kit from bit over a week ago actually from Ginny of Maxam made and also yesterday not in image as had posted these images on FB, Mrs A had sent me four piece of Stampbord to try out like size of domino.. thanks so much to Ginny and to Mrs A, and Mrs A. watch this space :D
After making these which are a gift for a friend, all that was left over from kit was butterfly in black and white, a sheet of navy and chocolate. I will save for other cards. THANK YOU, Ginny you are a treasure!
The designer paper is the back of the envelope that the set came in, as Ginny has pretty envelopes, I coloured the butterfly with ink here and also the gem with gold ink.
I coloured the ribbon with ink used and 'cos had inky fingers two small bits of stray ink on WAW Bible verse when taping it on and was too late then :(
I wanted fancy corners, so used a die cut from Fleur de lis rectangle. I cut a piece of black card and cut up the die cut .. when put this on my blog before someone thought I cut up the actual die, rather than the cardboard, eek!
This is my favourite - the stamps used for greetings are from Our Daily Bread and fussy cut them out rather than buy the die as it was expensive, but stamps weren't plus had voucher just added image to colour images in photos.
The photo from Oz today is of our local creek, taken late afternoon. the large tree on right is gum and scraggy bits at front are banksia. See flower below:
I will comment as able may take til next week but will get there :D
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, may God bless your day wherever you may be!  Shaz in Oz.x

Oh so pretty - and clearly the maximum use of the supplies! Even the envelop from the package - very frugal!

Happy WOYWW!

They are fab cards that you have made. Love your idea of using the packaging for your base on your butterfly card. Butterfly looks lovely and I also like your idea of cutting the die (card) up to make those corners on the roses. Thankyou for fluttering by #17. hugs Mrs A. (butterfly challenge).

Lovely to see you again, hope you are fully recovered. Really enjoyed the later posts too, your Christmas cards are ace...I really like how you've used the Pass it On cards..they're like a Wordle!
Don't get me started on the chocolate thing...I'm back on the wagon and it's one of the things I'm missing! I had a gift pack from Ginny too, some time ago, wonderful quality of card, took me ages to bring it to use! Your baby plovers are just too cute, I bet the green of your gorgeous garden is perfect for such a young family. Don't forget the safety gear each time you step out - made me laugh!
