Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

August Christmas Challenge - GDT for Rudolph Day!

Hullo there everyone!
A great privilege today as sharing with you my first card for the Guest Designer for Scrappy Mo's Christmas challenge - Rudolph day which runs from the 25th of each month to the end - in this case the 31st of Aug.
As Mo is in Canada you have extra time if you're in different time zone, as I am!
As I'm still not well, my goal was easy if possible. Took the verse already made up from from snippets in my Christmas bits box, "For unto You is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the LORD", from Luke.
I like the One Who is the real reason for Christmas to be on every single card  I make, that's the whole point.
Next goal was to use "neglected" dies. I found in my box of tricks a a new- bought-on-sale "American Crafts glitter card" in 6" x 6" pad. Decided to try this and love it. It is fab! So thin, cuts well and glitter stays put.
Used it on the Martha Stewart leaf punch, Memory Box Piestra die, Memory box bauble die.
So added ribbon, bling and silver thread and that was it! you can see glittery bits better on this photo.
Well, short and sweet from me here today as still recovering (see previous post - if you didn't know I have been very ill).
I keep forgetting how slow I have to take things. I maybe slow at returning your very kind comments too.
Lord bless you and keep you all.

I am so very sorry you have been so poorly Shaz and equally sorry I only just got to know, sounds like you have really been through the mill and I pay you are soon back to full strength again. I too have been non too good and was sent away to recuperate mid July ahead of our holiday, but it's still slow going with left arm not really working so everything is taking an age and crafting slower than slow.

But it's so nice to see you have made such a lovely card for Mo's challenge.

Beautiful sparkly card & love having that verse on the front!

This card really stood out for me when I went to the Rudolph day challenge. I love the glittery card, but I especially like the way you have incorporated a Bible verse with a 'secular' image. I too like the real reason for Christmas to be on all my cards, but my verse is usually on the insert. Well done for putting it right there on the front. Kate x
