Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Belated WOYWW, Snippets + Cards Received

Hi all,
First of all... many blessings of the LORD be upon each and every one of you for the new year ahead of us -2018!
Well... this year is already getting away from me and today is only the 4th!
I missed Wednesday... anyone seen it floating around?
Now my current desk ... truly you dont want to know about it!
The official tale is I'm cleaning up but as I look at that I have my doubts. I have just emptied things out and moved things around trying to make it more usable. Time will tell! Praying for a miracle or three!
Now warning you I'm sharing lots of photos, cards received mainly!
First of all a tidier desk when making some extra cards...
This is embossing folder inked up with versamark and glittery embossing powder heat set then inked up as shown below.
(METHOD: emboss really well EF, while still in folder, use embossing buddy to remove static thd ink up embossed part by lightly  adding Versamark to raised area, add embossing powder. With paintbrush remove any excess powder, then heat set).
A couple of cards ... first one with brushos, second one with digi from net, and both have die cuts from RosA of WOYWW. Snippets used on both these cards.

Now to the Aussie shots .. this is one stem of rose bush, a thornless variety called Smooth Serenity. This stem had a dozen rose buds on it and another had nine!
This was yesterday with my dad on and icecream drive down at jetty..
Yes! hot enough for icecream and stunning sunny days.
Now to my Christmas bounty received, cards galore, a couple of paintings and a pressie too ... first of all from Miss Di of Snippets Playground.
I fell in love with the nativity die she used and asked her where she had bought it .. and what does dear kind Di do.. but send me one along with this card she made... isn't it gorgeous?

I was good and bad, bad because some folks did not get a card from me... I am deeply grateful though for every single one .. especially proud of Thomas' and Emily's work! :D
I want to apologise too as some are very bad photos, eg Mrs A.'s had acetate on it and it would not co-operate. Plus was in haste, looked good on camera then not so good on upload.

May God bless you in your day wherever you may be, and thanks so very much for all your kind encouragement.

Shaz in Oz. X

What a lovely display of cards, both made by you and received by you. Afraid y card making got behind and I made my usual "special one" for my doctor only to find, by the time it was ready, she had gone away on holiday and was not due to return until today. Ah well, that is next year's ready nice and early for her.
Lovely to see the sunny ice cream photo and the rose stem is amazing.
God Bless, and
Happy New Year, Neet 2 xx

A great selection of cards, Shaz, and I love your snowflakes ones! Really pretty. Your desk looks ready for action! Thank you for your two lovely comments, and particularly for your prayers for our situation. There's so much to be done at the moment and it's easy to lose sight of the fact that I have at my disposal the power of the Creator of the Universe to help me through!! When I try to do things in my own strength I end up losing the plot... We will get through it all in the end, and I have to take it one step at a time.

So glad you like our kitties, and I am sorry to hear that you lost yours in such an unpleasant way. I've heard about Aussie ticks - really horrible!

A very happy New Year and every blessing, and happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #36

I can't believe it's already the 4th either. The year is flying by! Ha! Beautiful cards, both the ones made by you and the ones you received. My favorite though, is the top one with the snowflakes. So beautiful.
I'm glad you had a nice time with your Dad. With all of our snow and ice, it's hard to remember that's it's still warm elsewhere.
May God bless you abundantly this year my friend.

Hi Shaz. What a beautiful set of cards you received... I confess mine are still all around the house - don't want to really put the decorations and bits away!! The house always looks so empty when I do (huge sigh). I do wish you every blessing for 2018. May you know Father's hand of mercy and grace on your life, as you walk His way, seeking to follow all He tells you to do.
Take care. God bless.

Beautiful cards, especially the very special ones made by the children! It's always so nice to see pics from Oz in January, when here we are in a deep freese, so nice to know there are beautiful roses blooming somewhere! Enjoy tidying and organizing - it always makes me want to create something with all the things I find!Have a wonderful 2018, Lindart #27

Very pretty self made backgrounds! Super for both image or just a text, as you've demonstrated.

Wonderful and colorful embossed card. We are grateful that you joined our Challenge here at Word Art Wednesday. Leaving you with the inspiration tat comes from God's Word in Romans 1:17 which says, "For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Have a blessed week.
