Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Christmas is coming! + WOYWW

Yes!! it is Wednesday and time for WOYWW or What is on Your Workdesk Wednesday. So let's look at desks of the world with Julia of The Stamping Ground.. to my desk!
Well, the most important desk items are two cards I'll share first of all below! I've mailed all mine now, phew! These I'm working on are to hand out and are the last four cards in the making .. they're with a sheet of Penny Black stickeroos I'm mounting for embossed fronts of four blank cards. The one at the front centre I'm making corners for out of SB Marvellous square die. One card on left done, two more on the make. I've made twenty cards since last Wed. Will blog ones on last weeks desk. They looked great.
Card by Thomas in Oz.
Card by Emily in Oz. Aren't they brilliant? Mind you, I am biased. 😊 I think Great-poppa would love them too.
Last week's acetate snippets backgrounds with Sugarpea Nativityscape a gift from Miss Di of the Snippets playground!! (As were stickeroos from 5+ years ago I think!). All but base is snippets!
Now this next set of cards is thanks to someone at the WOYWW crop! I picked up this sheet of card toppers because it had robins on it. The sheet also had the lovely borders! So thank you whoever it was! All used Crafters Companion Christmas 5 x7 EF and snippets of red/ green. Verses are digis.
Now to the Aussie shots! Some Christmas colour from the NZ Christmas bush in flower.
Some Agapanthus near the creek. Planted bed by local council, not wild as some think.
Some Aussie summer sunshine for those deprived of it in Northern winter climes. There's a grassy path you can go for a wander and warm yourself up!! 😊
Well, that's my share for the day. I'm truly sorry I did very little commenting last week but intend to make up for it this week!!
God bless your day dear kind friends, thank you so much popping by and saying hi.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x

This week's thought again reflects the Christmas theme.
" The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the World." This is the whole reason for Christmas, not only of the babe in the manger. God's Son Jesus was born to die and rise again that we might live eternally by simple faith in Him.

I’d like to link up with the following:
**Snippets playground, acetate cards but all really .. and check out Miss Di's wedding card what a cracker! pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2018/12/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge-341.html?m=1

Such beautiful cards by Thomas and Emily...made with love. The most important part. Your cards are also gorgeous Shaz and the verses that you put on each of them point directly to the reason we celebrate this season of joy. I especially thank you for your photos of the warmer season. The ocean photos are so beautiful to me. And I’ll take any warm weather I can get right now! You are such a blessing to me my dear sister in Christ. Blessings, Betsy

Wouldn't Thomas's card make a wonderful rubber stamp!
Lots of lovely things on your desk today Shaz - as always - and such a lovely few pictures of what you have been making.
Need to get back in my craftroom but cannot see it happening this side of New Year. Have to first get the house back to some normality.
Take care, don't do too much.

How lovely that you made those robin cards using Crop stash! They look great and I bet they reminded you of that lovely day whilst you were making them. Good for Thomas and Emily too, they definitely have the artistic touch!!

Hi Shaz, love the cards from Thomas & Emily. Yours are stunning as always.Great to see cards made from Crop stash too. The Holly background is a stencil from Sweet Poppy- quite a large one, those sheets are half A4. I'll echo Margaret about the Agapanthus- amazing to see them growing wild. I think everyone will be happy that Google+ is finishing next year! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X#5

Your cards are beautiful and I am in ooh and awe over the cards that Thomas and Emily made.. so fun and free, it's a pitty we loose a lot of that freedom-fun-creating when we grow up... I am always struggling with the 'it has to be good' voice inside my head. A walk on he grass sounds great, the grass overhere showed ice crystals this morning... Thanks for stopping by my blog today, have a great week. Love, Marit #16

All these cards are fantastic, Shaz! The kids' cards made me smile - so sweet! The smiley face Jesus in the cradle is brilliant! Thanks for stopping by earlier! Ooh, your 8th anniversary coming up - how nice that it coincides with the 500th WOYWW! All the best! Zsuzsa #14

Gosh Shaz, you are so cleve at using up snippets, really, I don’t have the same success, your cards are gorgeous. Although, frankly, they aren’t quite as gorgeous as Thomas in Oz and Emily in Oz’s artwork, how fab they are ! Your sunshine photos bring me warmth on a really dull day, am feeling the cold particularly today and not sure why, it’s not even freezing yet!

A good collection of cards, Shaz, and the children's ones are very sweet. Thank you for your visit, and yes, Ruby's escapology is quite a worry so she's grounded for now, till we can sort it, which my hubby is convinced he can do. Thank you so much prayers for my hospital appointment tomorrow and I am sure my surgeon will agree with me to leave well alone! We shall see. Love and prayers for you too.

Happy WOYWW,

Great cards. I do love cards that children do. Thank you for the photos of Aus as well. I actually don't mind the winter days here, whatever they bring if it's cold and grey I enjoy being at home , warm and cosy and crafting if I can. The only weather I'm not keen on is when it is very hot. I'm odd I know :-) Take care Anne x #21
