Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Last Snippets for 2018 Christmas

Well, in two days it’s Christmas!! Do love this time of year. Not everything is done here, but getting there, quickly popping into share my last snippets for the year.
It certainly is curious that now I’ve made all my cards for this year, I’m having a rolling start on next year! I saw this idea perfect for a pile of white snippets strips, so just had to make them, they were quite quick.
Two years ago I bought this lovely digi paper of “Scottish tartans”, or that’s what the files are called. I’ve printed out some of four of the six colourways.
I’ve mainly used Stampendous stamp of Luke 2:10. Isn’t it beautiful? I do love the scrollwork, added mixture of pearls and liquid pearls.
Also you’ll notice two of them are debossed in two silver snippets. The die used is a CCD given me by my Florida friend Marilyn. The strips I cut the die piece from were just a fraction too narrow, but as I had a big pile of them I wasn’t going to cut any wider ones!
Don’t think most folks will notice the left edge. As you can see I’ve made quite a few. Two are dry embossed not cut on a scrap of silver card.
I’m also busy making some other cards, requests, for presents but will share them on Tuesday, (or later?) on my Christmas Day post. I’m doing WOYWW a day early, either that or not at all.
Now to the Aussie shots.
We are having stormy weather so the water today isn't this turquoise. Storms with sunshine, and usual summer humidity, so we won’t be having a hot dinner but usual cold one for Christmas Day.
I’ve only ever had two hot Christmas meals in my life, once when 8 years, at my Yorkshire nanna’s and then in 1970’s when in our “new” house, we had roast pork, with all the trimmings, I remember that! So here’s more sunshine folks.
Just love the sky in this one! The heavens do show the majesty of God's creation!
Praying every blessing upon all who read this, especially those who may have some missing faces at their table for Christmas.
Our Father God cares and I pray you may seek His comfort at such times.
"..Tidings of comfort and Joy."

Hugs, Shaz in Oz. X

Those are such lovely cards Shaz. The tartans and the poinsettia cut outs are so beautiful. The embossed cards look very elegant, but the best is the scriptures that you’ve shared with us. You are always such an encouragement to me with your posts and comments on my blog. May God bless your Christmas as we celebrate the Christ childs birth.
Blessings, Betsy

Your cards are beautiful, Shaz, the white die cuts really stand out against the lovely tartan papers.
We'll be having our usual hot Christmas meal. It seems so strange that other parts of the world will be in the middle of summer, eating a cold meal. Have a wonderful Christmas and a great 2019. xx

A beautiful display Shaz, isn't it amazing by simply changing the colour it can create a different look. The embossed Cream and gold has to be my favourite.
Stunning with their own personalities.
I still have things to do hoping today will be a visitor free day so I can get on with some of those jobs.
Wishing you Seasons Greetings Shaz and Happy Christmas.

Gosg Shaz - these really are just stunning! Wonderful die cuts against the tartan and I do love the dry embosssed ones as well. Your beautiful Christmas card arrived along with the lovely newsletters and of course the other enclosures. I shall treasure them my lovely friend.

I remember hot Christmases in Singapore when we lived there, but it was a challenge for the Mums to try and recreate an English Christmas Dinner so we had the works rather than what would probably have been a much more refreshing cold dinner! I suspect it was because it was a 3 year tour rather than a permanent move. Although, friends of ours in Thailand always go out for a full turkey dinner. What a boring world if we were all the same!

I hope you have a peaceful Christmas and all things good in 2019.

Love and hugs, Di - and Dudley and Parsnip of course! xxx

Beautiful cards Shaz, and I really like the peep of tartan on the left of the die-cut piece. The embossed cards are stunning!! I love how you have got so much use out of the die.
We are also having wet weather here, our spot is well off with no flooding, unlike other areas. Looks like tomorrow will also be dampening down some BBQ's.
Christmas blessings to you and yours
