Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW Google+ Ends 2019 *Christmas

A week today and Christmas will be over! As it is Wednesday it’s time again for WOYWW or What is on Your Workdesk Wednesday. So let's look at desks of the world with Julia of The Stamping Ground HERE .. to my desk!

Well as you can Christmas is still on the desk!! My brain had ideas going in all directions! The Nativityscape was the lost one from few weeks back! Found it. ๐Ÿ˜Š One out of view has some diecuts given on a brayered background. Love my brayer. Tartan is a digi paper set, saw this card on pinterest and realised it was a CCD that my friend Marilyn in Florida sent me! A pain to die cut but oh what a nice combo with tartan. Or plaid as US call it. I don't like that name. It makes me think of plain and they aren't that! We and Scots call it tartan so that does me! I only needed one more card but just kept going. 2019 is coming! I make all year around. Don't like rush like I had this year.
Some wonderful cards I've received.
And bottom middle right is Shaz Silverwolf, far bottom right, Marilyn, Anne in France above hers, then Betsy in Spokane, Margaret from WOYWW, Brenda in US, far right and 85y.o Iris from Lincoln, bottom left. So nice everyone! Thank you!
Now to the Penny Black stickeroos from last week. Made quickly and easily. I embossed background in Grand Calibur with 5 x7 folder by Ultimate crafts. Swirls EF is Embossalicious.
Adjusted dies to fit images and extend use. All greetings are digi.
This is an upcycled card too.
Like this simple use!
Next is a non desk item.
Re Google+, in case you use Google + and you don’t know, it is to be phased out next year (in Aug I think it is). It is being done gradually even now. There are things you need to be aware of if you solely use Google+.
This post here HERE explains it particularly well why and what and when, and how in the comment at the end of the post, where it has a link to explain how it is done and to the tool called Takeaway that Google has made to help you do it.
I’m just putting this out there so more folks know about it, as it s not commonly shared that I’ve seen.
Now to Aussie photos!
My thoughts and prayers are with a family from Sydney. I ended my Friday post by saying how dangerous our beaches were and people needed to swim on safe & patrolled beaches. Late yesterday afternoon  3 men from Sydney were drowned at a beach 10 mins  north. Its a notoriously dangerous beach and I'd never swim at it. You can see in this photo above how tricky it can be. This beach is called the Gallows. You need to know how to read the surf here at this spot! The one below looks safe but its not patrolled and someone drowned there last year. If you live by the ocean you know this.
Enjoy with respect.

Well, that's my share.
I'll be back on Sunday and Christmas day, will do WOYWW a day early, as wont have time on Wed. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Praying every blessing upon all who read this, especially those who may have some missing faces at their table for Christmas.
Our Father God cares and I pray you may seek His comfort at such times.
"..Tidings of comfort and Joy."
Hugs, Shaz in Oz. X

Today's thought:
"God rest ye merry, gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember, Christ, our Saviour
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy..."
For all words see Here.

Lots of lovely cards, Shaz, and again, superb Ozzie photos. Tragic that people have been drowned there. We have a beautiful river near us that is also extremely treacherous with a fast current that has taken several lives. I adore the sea but can never forget to respect its awesome power. God has provided us with the oceans to make our beautiful world habitable and it is amazing how resilient they have been in the face of all the pollution we throw at them, and every time I see the sea (we live close by, but can’t see it from the house) I am reminded of God’s majesty in creation and how in spite of all our cleverness, we can never tame the sea.”Eternal Father, strong to save, Whose arm doth bind the restless wave... O hear us when we cry to Thee for those in peril on the sea.” I love watching all TV programmes about the amazing diversity of His creation beneath the waves too - incredible design in the marine life and life where we thought life was impossible!

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Shaz. lovely cards there today - and great Aussie shots - but what a tragedy for those guys' families! Somehow, whilst tragedy is always horrid, it seems more poignant near Christmas.
Have a simply lovely Christmas.
Take care. God bless.

Thank you for your comment on my recent post, Shaz, and I am sorry to hear that you are dealing with chronic health issues too. I do think it helps to take an active interest in one's condition and care. Throughout this whole journey I have known the hand of the Lord guiding me, even when it was hidden at times and I got really confused until later on, when I realised that what I thought was things going wrong was actually better than if things had gone according to my plans!! He always knows best, and I praise Him for the whole situation because the blessings I have received throughout have far outweighed the difficulties.

Had a phone call this a.m. from the pants people and they've got the prescription now and are working on it as top priority! So that is good news.

Bless you lots,
Shoshi x

Your on a roll with those cards Shaz, lots in the bag for 2019. I've already decided if a Christmas idea comes into mind i'm acting on it even if I only use it for reference as we never know what life will throw at us and stop us in our tracks. Lovely to see some of your received cards, people are so very kind.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas sending blessings your way.

Gorgeous cards Shaz, both made and received. Thanks for the heads up about google+, I hadn't heard anything about it. Hopefully it won't affect blogging too much, just the commenting side of things which I'm assuming the blog engines will give us tools to sort out. Merry Christmas and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

Thank you for visiting again Shaz, and thank you especially for your prayers for 2019 to be a good year all round! Whatever happens, I put my trust in the Lord and I am His! He has seen me through this far. I am so glad you like my little heart frames and the card. I had great fun making them and it’s made me think of using wallpaper more often! There are such lovely designs.

The poor families of those lost in the sea... they are in my prayers.

Regarding Google+ I am another who will be glad to see it go. I’d much rather be directed straight to someone’s blog to comment rather than being sent there! I just hope they don’t consider stopping Blogger as well! Then I really would be stuck.

Have a great week, Shaz.

I love your cards! But feel so bad for the people who were lost to the ocean, and their families who will have to have Christmas without the this year. Great sentiment, Shaz, about people who are missing at Christmas. My dad passed in 2001 and we always put out his photo with his only grand-daughter in a Christmas frame at Christmas. It wouldn't be the same without him there. Thank you for your visit, and I hope you have a lovely Christmas! Lindart #27

What beautiful cards Shaz - I love how you used the square die cut for your fancy corners - it is something I now do too, thank you for the inspiration!
Yes, looking at those beaches you can see the rips if you know how to read the ocean - we have rips over here too!
Blessings

Thankyou for your lovely card that has arrived today and for the news letter enclosed. Super use of the stickeroos. I have that sheet of stickers too. I have never gone over to google + as haven't liked the look of it having people in circles. Just hope they keep their hands off blogger. Wishing you a Happy Christmas and Thankyou for your friendship. Hugs Mrs A.
