Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Snippetty Male 60th Card, RE-SUBSCRIBE + WOYWW

Well, am very sorry indeed for lo-o-ooong silence here. First of all...

ARE YOU GETTING THIS POST BY EMAIL? If you are, or would like to subscribe by email, you need to see this post HERE. (Thanks to those who have, you’ve really truly blessed my heart)

If you blog and use blogger Feedburner you also need to check that post out! No emails sent of our blog posts from July 1, 2021. I’m very happy with how new system is working. It’s been very encouraging actually. For WOYWW, as tis Wednesday, pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground!

My desks earlier in the week, I had a male card to make for a special decade! 🤔😝 at this stage I’m trying to make up this vague “simple” card idea in my head .. you guessed it, it was NOT simple. Way too much die cutting for comfort really.
This is stage two, when have figured out layout and die wise, now just doing unlimited (it seems) cutting. The card idea was stimulated by his sister’s comment that he was in denial cause he kept saying the wrong decade!

Here is the finished card and the background is printout snippet not used on another card, along with most of other card except the base. (So off to the Snippets Playground, yay!).
Also I print out an insert to go inside the card, like in bought cards. This what I wrote.

Australian sights: Just quickly, yesterday out walking, I spy a lorikeet in a flowering paperbark, a beautiful melaleuca.

And then sun setting on Sunday evening here in town, isn’t that beautiful?

.. love autumnal lights, truly they show the creative power of the Creator. Look around your room, house, car everything there had a creator .. a hand that made it?! And it’s no way near as complex as the beauties of the natural world or even the hand that types this post on mobile. Our hands are amazing tools, yet some folks sadly doubt that they had a Maker!

As I pondered that fact, this verse came to mind.. may it bless your heart as it did mine. It's a prayer I often pray!

That they may see, and know, and consider,
and understand together,
that the hand of the Lord hath done this,
and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. Isaiah 41:20

Thanks so much for popping over to this blog, especially as I’m time poor on mobile device, thus struggle to return your kindness.

Lord bless you, dear ones, in every way this day, you are so precious to me,

Prayer hugs, 🙏🤗

Shaz in Oz. Xx

Well, that card! It may have been a lot of work but Shaz, it is worth it. It is gorgeous. What a lovely idea and what a fabulous result. I remember being drawn to your cards all those years ago and this is up there with them.

It’s good to see you on the desks Shaz, I saw from your comment on JUlia’s that you’d been travelling, busy or poorly (hope you’re feeling ok now). Love the decades card, such a good idea, I’m sure that Ron will love it! (Even if he grumbles a bit....)

I know what you mean about all the cutting my last card with the plants was very time consuming but it's worth it in the end :)
Great job on the outside and your sentiment on the inside too :)

Oh it is good to see you and Oz shots, those sunsets are just beautiful. Sorry that inbetween visitors you were poorly, it takes up so much time doesn’t it, remember when we were kids and the bounce back was just that, a bounce back not a ‘recovery period’! I hope your visitors are all the sort that will muck in and help you out so that you’re not working too hard! I love the thought process with the birthday card, despite all the die cutting necessary, it worked out really well! I’m, sure he’ll love it. MeBart turned 60 this January and was or seemed to be very unaffected by it. He went for an eye test a couple weeks ago and was slapped in the face by being told he now qualifies for free tests. That certainly shocked him! a funny how we all deal as the big numbers roll around. I reckon Bart didn’t rally notice till the eye test because of course we were in lockdown so couldn’t have even a quiet party!

Dearest Shaz - so lovely to see you in the Playground - we miss you when you're not here! A lovely post and another gorgeous card. So sorry you still aren't firing on all cylinders as Mrs A would say. I can send Dudley over to give some TLC and cuddles. Totally shocked us today when Debbie his favourite Avon lady called by with a little order after months on end. He loves her and wanted attention, which he had for a good while - we had to call it a day when he clung onto her leg doing you know what. Little tinker! First time ever for that although arms are fair game. Would you like a Havanese? Thought not!

Hugs
