Well, it's time for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday, pop over to Sarah's at Sarah's Craft Shed, Head Desker of WOYWW! here is my latest desk as I'm working on a 1st birthday 🎂 card!
I was told to use BRIGHT colours so that's what I'm doing with an old set of SU papers. The house mouse image is done in alcohol markers then added glossy accents. The colours were best match to the papers. The image was die cut outside the image, to see how to do this see this post here and here! Finished card is last card shared.This card below was made using this video as a template, however if you’re wanting specific measure and guide video it’s very difficult, it’s a six minute card video AND to make it did not take anywhere near six minutes!

Basically I followed a rough idea then did my own template. My colours weren't quite the same and my white gelly roll pen didn’t work like hers did, so did thicker lines! Despite all hiccoughs, it met the need of a soccer or football card for mister 12. If anyone saw my desk two weeks ago they'll see this card underwent a great change from original thoughts!
This next card is received by my friend she loves purple. the Folder (Cuttlebug Plus, with white chalk ink highlights) and stamp set are both disc. years ago, stamp set is Chocolate Baroque.
Here's a couple of birthday cards as done with quilt die see back here, it makes 3 cards which is quite handy. The washi paper bought in Japan by my sister last Nov is really great with this design. Love them all. This CCD die was unused for years till I came across a video using a different quilting die but not as nice a one as this one.
They're made using a CCD happy birthday die and on second card a SB labels shadowed in matt gold used on cards and the washi paper.

Chester's 1st birthday card. Phew! I think it meets the criteria of
bright colours, also used glossy accents on various images. Stamps are
all from House Mouse balloon set.
To Aussie photos. I'm not walking or doing much exercise at moment as I've a lower leg skin infection. Since I'm on high cortisone it may take possibly months to heal. All prayers welcome.😊 These photos were taken on a walk shortly before my lower leg infection, the close up shows a clever surfer catching a wave.

This is a favourite verse of mine. In troubles and stresses we really need a refuge, and the strength to carry us through that trouble... our God indeed is a very PRESENT HELP in trouble.
I often say to my friends where would I be without Jesus?... without Jesus, I'd be lost, I'd not have the promise of a home in heaven and I wouldn't have His wonderful present help in my troubles. Leg infections might seem small, but small things may impinge in a big way on day to day living. I couldn't believe how quickly it flared up. But I have my Jesus as my Saviour from sin... and as my very PRESENT HELP in this AND every trouble. Praying that you do also. May God be with you in ALL your burdens. 🙏🏻❤️

I am so sorry to hear about your leg and the length of time it may take to heal. Yes knowing God has you in his hands and is there through it all, is a great comfort!
Your soccer/football card is so cool with it's pop up, I am sure it will be loved for sure!
The purple flowers are just beautiful, such lovely embossed frame with it.
The papers for the quilt cards is so lovely, I really like the gold with it!
The one year old card is just the cutest, such fabulous papers to go with your sweet stamp!

I think you absolutely nailed both cards for the boys, the design for the first birthday is really bright and colourful and the football card is spot on for the 12 year old! I also adore the quilt card, that looks as if it took ages to make but the results are amazing. I’m sorry to hear about your leg infection and sincerely hope that it heals quickly.

Gorgeous cards my friend, especially the purple one. That is so beautiful. I love the quilted ones too and I am in awse of the House Mouse one, especially as mine is so plain.
I hope this infection clears up for you pretty quick. I don't think it is good news from the doctor this morning - another examination of the kind I don't like and don't have the option of sleeping through it.

Love the quilted cards. So so pretty. Had to laugh at the 6-minute video. I always watch on 2xspeed and don't often feel like I missed much. I think YouTube only pays if the video is over a certain time so they will insist on stretching it out! How unfortunate the steroids keep you from healing. Hated them - for me it was just endless sleepless night. Fingers crossed you are improving little by little.

Too bad about yor leg, good thing you are being smart and taking care of it! I love the ocean pictures, I used to live near the ocean but it's been many many years now, but I love the smell of the ocean, and hearing the waves...my SIL is a surfer, I can picture him out there catching the wave! Stunning cards, Shaz, particularly the ones made with washi paper. Sorry to hear about your leg. I don’t know if it would help but we’ve found La Roche Posay Toleriane creams very effective for helping skin heal. It’s available on Amazon in the UK, I don’t know about Oz.

Hi Shaz - what a lot of great stuff on your desk!! Firstly love the football card - great pop up!! I looked at the ones with the 'mosaic' diie cuts - and thought, I'm prettty sure I have that die! The papers give it a whole new look, love it. I shall be off to check out the technique you have used on the house mouse card. It is certainly bright!! I struggle to get round everyone on Wednesday - sorry I am so late. Hope that you have managed to catch up on your sleep. Yeah Lionel is pretty cute, keep waiting for it all to end!! we managed to survive Monkey Music even though we were both a bit overwhelmed. I'm sure he'll be diving right in next week. Thank you for your prayers for Mom, Dennis and I. I'm still very tired and fall asleep easily but I honestly think that's the result of having covid. I fall asleep often during the day if I sit down.
