Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Treasure Trove Transformed!

Well, have I ever fun with the bonbon loot I spoke of in the last post.
To start this post I am putting a picture of my cuttlebug machine to show folks who have never seen one how these items are made as I have had folks ask me.
Here it is poised ready to cuttle one of the red sheets of bonbon paper.

This piece is on the first card pictures and is from the Cuttlebug Winter Wonderland set - as are the other two folders I have used.

The pendant dies in the middle are from Spellbinders - one is a Fleur de Lise and the other is the Lattice
.
The Nestablities were Labels Four and Labels Eight. I just loved the white card stock and the red on the bonbons. One of the red cards has an embossed holly on it and it came like that on the bonbons.

S
tamps are from Stampendous and Holly Pond, I bought them in Brisbane over ten years ago now, so not sure if still available
I have used the lovely toppings on the bonbons. and the cardstock and the ribbons to make over a dozen cards for next Christmas!
Yes! I know some folk may be "Christmassed" out by now.
However I like to get in early because once the count down begins in July or so I will run out of time,
I had most of this years done by then and will do the same this time around and have made a really good head start.... and just think I may have done that so far, for this last day of 2010 lets hope and pray I keep this way onto the New year!!
I pray God will bless each of you for this New year of 2011 with health and His special blessing for each of you!

Thanks so much Eileen for your kind words, and so love your blog too and the brayer work you do!! (and have made over 25 Christmas now more which will post later..just went mad!) and re your precious mil, my heart really goes out to you. Praying for you so hard no matter how well you think you may be prepared for it, you never are and it does drive sleep and really joy from you for a wee while. I remember the first time with my Nanna, I wanted to yell at everyone who was laughing or happy, "how can you be happy?" !!

Hi Shaz, Wow - I am blown away at what you did with your little treasure trove. I can see that you are just like me and can't bear to throw out things that could possibly be used for cards. I think that once you start making cards, you see the world differently. I look at colour combos and patterns in clothing shop windows and on crockery - I'm sure if people knew what I was thinking when I looked at a dress (ie: those colours would look nice on a card), they would probably think I was nutty!!

Happy New Year to you Shaz - may God bless you and keep you and make his face shine upon you!

Mm you are so very right, Jobear2! thanks for your words.. I cannot resist the temptation to play around with ideas and think such nutty thoughts as you speak of! I went shopping with my sister's yesterday, on a girls day out and they spent a fortune on clothes, me? none!! as had spent it online on craft dies, and although you cant wear them, they are nice! ( I found there was a doily edge like the doily circles you used on your card so bought one of them as well as the circles... cant wait!!)
I get their very expensive hand me downs anyway and like that! I dare not tell them what I had spent on craft..and Gods blesing on you and all you do inthis year of 2011 and may we shine for Him in all that we do,
love Shaz.xx

I noticed the picture of the cuttlebug in your popular post section so popped in for a look. Can't wait to get mine. Your cards make me definitely want to give card making a go. I think I will set a goal of making my own christmas cards this year too. I have never made a card but at least when my cuttlebug arrives, it will hopefully make the task less daunting :-)
