Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Craft A Scene + Our Daily Bread stamp

Hullo there one and all... just a very quick post.. over at "Craft a Scene" they have the challenge " Use your favourite technique".
So here is my take on it, a C.A.S card.
Steps 1.Cut and oval mask with die - mask off on scrap piece of white card
2. Stamp the scene - in this case used "the Sea" from Our Daily Bread as it was for my sea-loving B.i.L.

3. Colour scene image with PanPastels - take care not to lay too much around edges.
4. Tidy up around oval once mask is removed then emboss in Oval EF by "Forever friends - Black & Gold" .
Spray generously with hair spray to set the pastels.
5. Add birthday greeting (Artneko see here) stamped on scrap cad and mount on snippet of black and likewise for main image then attach to card - now is complete.
I love using pastels and they surpirse me constantly how versatile they are. Just in middle of making a card where focal image is with Prismacolours, and background is PP - works like a dream! (for a PanPastel tutorial see here - with vellum see here.
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek and a chat. Commenting wise, etc. things maybe a bit quiet due to health for a while. However do have posts in the wings.
May God bless your day wherever you may be,
Shaz in Oz.x

Would like to join these over with the following:

You have an amazing talent in that you make cards that are really calming, beautiful and peaceful! I've never known anyone do that before, you must be magic! ;)

This is a lovely seascape which you have coloured beautifully and you've faded the 'edges' perfectly - just gorgeousness! I'm sure your BIL will love as much as I do :)

This is so beautiful and love how you framed your image with gorgeous embossing. Great work! So blessed you joined us at last week's Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. Our new Challenge is now live and we'd love for you to join us again. Can't wait to see what you link up this time. Leaving you with the inspiration of God's Word in Psalm 30:5, "For His anger endureth but a moment, and in His favor is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
