Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Bugaboo Expecting Baby card

Hullo there everyone!!
Mm, have had the first card waiting in  the wings for some time now.. it is puggle card.. what is "puggle" you ask? well, according to common parlance in Oz it is a baby platypus - however quick Google search has said common parlance is not right (now who will adjudicate that??)  see here,  or  for image see to the right...
Anyway, I wont decide here! It was the name friends of my sister gave the baby before it was born as they thought it better than saying "it". My sister wanted to give them a "Anticipating your new puggle" card and so hunted for a image and we found this ultra cute one by Bugaboo! cute huh??
Made it up with snippety bits and did a piece of paper piecing on it too! mm, that was fun! very simple layout , but used some chipboard first time for yonks!
When the baby son arrived here is the card I made with it!! Used some SU (discontinued) papers here again rather snippetty bits - I find lots of my DP are this way! Another Bugaboo stamp chosen by my sister - again ultra cute!
Use EK Success Arrows punch on border, Spellbinder squares; one square was made into rectangle, more Spellbinder for greetings.
Thanks so much everyone for popping over for peek and chat.
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

Fantastic cards - I really like your sliding sentiment tag on the baby boy one :-)
LUV the pic of the Platypus babies. I watched a wildlife programme on Nat.Geo recently and the Ozzie guy on there called them 'Puggles' !! :-)

Both of these are very cute Shaz and I bet the recipients will treasure them. Long when my mum was pregnant (30+ years) rather than call the baby 'it' we called it Cuthbert and it is an odd one because my aunt's were the same with their kids and now with the grandkids. But I do love the puggle name - very very cute as are those two gorgeous creatures Karen xx
