Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Using Ink Dusters, Stencils and Embossing paste +WOYWW

Well, it has been a while it seems since joining WOYWW (see here  Julia's Stamping Ground,) or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday or in my case ... Thursday! It’s the way things are these days - very topsy turvy, but I am here!
{I want to link up also to Word Art Wednesday (WAW) and Di's snippets, see links below.}
Loads of pickies and first one shows my desk this Wed (yesterday) when finished one card and about to make another – a thank you. It is on hold and made an emergency birthday card had forgotten about today instead ~ not enough room though to post it today.
Okay, at the back is the wee card (which I played and coloured the butterfly stamp on) ... wasn't coloured when it came and lovely atc which will show below was my PiF WOYWW 312 from Soojay. Thank YOU so very much! Also below, on desk to right is the card just finished a belated on but as made it generic, so it wont matter. Front centre is a "thank you card" begun for dad to give to someone, made using one of dad's paintings as a digi image.
Showing this to share how I cut up die cuts (please note die cuts not dies). First die cut is the SB Fleur de Lis square die, make great corners. The second one is the scalloped oval, wanted a shadow reflection in gold. So this is why I did it, the eye thinks you have a whole gold oval unless you look carefully. :D

Gorgeous multi-medium ATC from Soojay, cute plus.. love the background textures + shades of colours! THANK YOU!
On my post below (or click here) you will see I am working to he left on this background hee - I said then I did not know if I like or no.
This is how the background sheet started out .. using some embossing paste, and stencils. Then out came the dusters and ink.

This is it at the end of the inking ..did another layer on what had done an decided it was okay. Used DI Vintage photo, Rusty hinge, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed. Antique linen. Also spritzed with "Shine Huey's Mist, which really finished it off, coloured some Floss with ink, too.
At the beginning of the year I won one of the NBUS prizes over at Darnell's, and prize was voucher at Sher Russ' Stamplorations ..lovely clear stamps plus was given two free masks, have used two sets here  *Vignette Trendy Feathers and *Bold Sentiments Hello. Love both these sets, and embossed them in Versafine ink, coloured + hand cut them out. Mounted on piece or neutral corrugated card.

Last of all , your Aussie shots ~ a Rainbow Lorikeet on his morning walk on fence top, after a bath in the bird bath, below! they are such clowns!

Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat .. will return your visit as soon as I can, as do love to see your work too. :D I apologise a have not commented on many from last post .. but will do you first, so sorry.
May God bless your day and those you love, wherever you may be.

I'm just getting into stencils, so was thrilled to read how you used the embossing paste.

Your dad did a beautiful job on his card. Must run in the family (grin).

The lorikeet is a beauty. Always fun to see the different animals and such in your world. Happy belated WOYWW from #5.

Hi Shaz,
I do rather like that background for the Hello card. Very effective!
And the die cut fleur de lis square corners look fabulous! I don't have lots and lots of dies ... yet. Might have to put that on my shopping list :)

I love how you cut up your die cuts Shaz, those Fleur de Lis die really does make fabulous corners-I am loving those! I also love how you make your scalloped oval reflect a shadow in gold, it really does make the eye thing you have a whole gold oval-that is so cool to me. Beautiful, just beautiful! The ATC you got from Soojay is beautiful as well, love the colors and textures. But your last card is really amazing too! I love the textured background on this one, the colors are fabulous. Love those feather and that nice bold "hello". I always love seeing your Aussie photos, this Rainbow Lorikeet is so beautiful, how fun to see birds like this out your window!! Hugs, Brenda

What a lovely post Shaz, full of interest! I particularly like the background of the card with the feathers on it - it looks like shiny tiles! Fascinating. I haven't come across that gloss spray before but I suppose any shiny finish would do it? You've got some great work on your desk this week.

Thank you for your prayers and your lovely uplifting comment on my blog. I hope what I wrote will help somebody. I am happy to report that I'm starting to feel a bit better today but still have zero energy and feel somewhat shaky but at least I'm not feeling nauseous any longer! My appetite is returning too. I just want enough energy so I can start doing things again...

Some fantastic creations on your desk here Shaz, especially love the sea and sand image.
Thank you so much for the tip about not ironing the die cut paper and I will do as you said and put something heavy on instead.
Hope all is well with you.
Thanks again.
