Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.
I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years
Well, today is Resurrection Day! We who believe celebrate the Resurrection of our Saviour after the GREATEST DEFEAT in history, the Lord Jesus' death on the cross (*BTW Easter varies its date because it is celebrated at the time of the Passover, based on the Jewish Jewish calendar (explanation here).
Then it truly looked to the followers of the LORD Jesus that Satan had won and their Saviour, the One Who they thought would rescue them Roman rule, was dead on the cruel cross.
But to God - a GREATER PICTURE was in view... as I am a Christian, and a crafter I wanted my card to reflect this "GREATER PICTURE".
Looking through my verses I thought the one we most often quote in trials Romans 8:28, was surely it!
If ever a time in History the our wise God worked ALL things together for Good, it was at the Resurrection. Satan's victory was utterly defeated, he no longer had power over death, and we had the promise of eternal life by simple childlike faith in Jesus as our Saviour for our sins.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
Curiously I've done this card twice in last 24hrs. I'll show the first one at the end, I realised my mistake after I did it. A Resurrection Card needed to reflect the colours of the glory of that Resurrection morning, when Jesus rose again in Victory.
This Hymn "Christ Arose!" (link here if not available below) Truly this reflects that victory Christ has wrought. After all if there is no resurrection then the whole of Christianity is in vain as Paul put it himself realized this when he wrote:
1 Corinthians 15:14-16
" And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:"
Yet God is true, His Word is true and to be trusted. Praise God, Jesus is indeed risen as He said.
Praying much that all everywhere would see the truth, see Jesus and His gift of salvation and a heavenly home.
For there is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun.
Hell
is the punishment for our sin's curse.
Jesus spoke 4 x more on hell than Heaven His Home because He loves us so much and wants no one to go there.
I am forever grateful I saw this
at 12 years old, and trusted in Jesus as my Saviour from sin!
How I rejoiced with great joy on that day I was saved.
Well, as promised this is the first card done with this verse in the same Elements inks as the card on Good Friday post. Pretty but not right for Resurrection πMorn (nor perhaps for poppies I also thought). The stamps are from Lavinia.
Now for my traditional Aussie photos
Firstly two from garden and two beach photos for those who need their sea fix. π First in the courtyard garden we have a red anthirium, and below that miniature bicolour snapdragons.
Thanks so very much popping over on this the happiest day of the year, and thank you too if you are able to comment, it's much appreciated. Also there is a very different post over on my Christian blog for Resurrection Sunday today, and I'd love you to visit it - see HERE
May God bless you wherever you maybe,
Prayer hugs, ππ»π€

Linking up to the following Challenges:
1.Allsorts Challenge blog- Springtime or Anything goes. My cards both fit Springtime perfectly, but linking no 1 card. I've used Lavinia stamps Buttercups, Poppies, Butterfly and Ferns, and DI inks.
It seems it doesn't take long for it to be Easter once we've passed Christmas! And today we celebrate Good Friday and we are looking simply at why today is truly Good in this post.
Joni
Tada Eareckson shared the following video. In it she shares that
the LORD Jesus in the gospels spoke four times more about hell than heaven -
heaven is Jesus' wonderful home that He wants us all to have... and
hell is to be shunned!
He knew all too well the horrors of it and He wants no-one to go there.
So much so that He suffered and died on the cross on the first Good Friday for our
sins. It was love, His love for us that kept Him on the cross,
suffering the agony of death for us. The greatest agony was being
separated from His Heavenly Father when He bore our sins, when Jesus
cried, "My God, My God Why has Thou forsaken Me?". And greatest blessing to us was when He cried, "It is finished!", and "He gave up the ghost." Then Salvation's work was truly done, finished. We cannot do anything else to gain it. We can never earn heaven by what we do. If we could, there would be no point to Jesus dying on the cross. I think this verse on this card explains it.
Isaiah 12:2
... "God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation." Truly salvation bought on the first Good Friday with His cry, "It is finished." Yet foretold years before in books of prophecy like Isaiah.
Now sharing some Aussie photos. As we look let us remember Christ is not only Saviour and King, but our Creator as well.
Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
Well, thanks so much for popping over for a peek and a chat, I pray for God's blessing on you, wherever you maybe. You might also like to pop over to my Christian blog post, too, here. It's totally different.

Hi all! Popping in very quickly for a few links ups .. busy plus here! (However want to say my thoughts and prayers are with all those suffering across the globe. Reading on British Press - the floods in Bangladesh, 1/3 of the country is flooded! Can you imagine what it's like to have a third of your country flooded? Plus 100,000 houses destroyed!! On top of that they've floods of Rohingya refugees fleeing from Myanmar (former Burma) and ethnic cleansing! Devastation with Irma, Mexican earthquakes, etc. Perhaps a reason for all this? See this post here.) As it is Wednesday, I've also a desky share - or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to our Julia's desk for the link up, at Stamping Ground! To my desk... probably can't share for few weeks, so thought better do so today!
Several... nay! three things on the go here! If you'd look on another table, you'd see a fourth!! (EEE-eek! she says.) To right: Eamon's 2nd birthday on homeward run, his mother is very unwell (influenza A, very bad this year in Oz). No time for peeking so can share. Just have to touch up giraffe's adding some depth + greeting + age element. Other items, kind of hidden are DT works, trying to get ahead. Hate always being behind. One is also for certain six year old's birthday too, top secret though, as they do peek, sometimes. Hope to catch up with both of these birthdays next week, God willing, yay! :D Six year old will be wanting me to make "traditional pass the parcel" game too...
Now will explain the rest of the title of this post. My friend had what I thought was her 8oth birthday.. but dopey me :D made a booboo... it was her 79th! so that is why I call this Nan's non-80th birthday! I gave her half a dozen cards... published some before on here and her card is being published on 15th Sept as DT post.
A male card, made with Inkadinkado Standing Seagull INKA-99205-DD wood mounted stamp and Inspired by Stamping, Just for you set. Frame was from watercolour background, left over from another card. Didn't want to waste this bit, the image and card back stamped coloured for other cards and not used. Entering this card in the Stamp it Challenge with: Simon Says Wednesdays challenge .. stamped images ONLY no digis allowed. This card won second prize over at Bugaboo... won seven of Jodie's wonderful images!!!
Digi image pre-printed in stash from Ginny Maxam of Maxam Made, like wise greeting. Die cut and mounted them and embossed and card with Sue Wilson pinpoint waves(?) folder. H.B. stamp is from SU discontinued set.
Simple male card, Disc. S.U. DP, Verse and images are digis I had already printed up.
To the Aussie shots. On my walk yesterday was the sunset, taken rather late.. but out most of the day. The begonia below is real and so is the maiden hair fern, my sister has them growing beautifully and we had a lovely BBQ out there yesterday. Our 88 year old dad loved it!
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek and chat! May God bless your day wherever you may be. Will do my very best in commenting, and truly appreciate your visits more than words can say.

"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God , that I
will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for
water, but of hearing the words of the Lord :".Amos 8:11
This verse is a sign of the times for today.
Very sadly folks rather hear and heed the words of men, instead of hearing and heeding
the words of the Lord, our Heavenly Father, Who loves us all.
Hi everyone, time again for my mid-month post on Bizzy Bec's Design team, and today I'm revisiting a great stamp set fromDarkroom Door - Gum Trees. I love this set it has two great tree stamps - used both of them over on this post here.
So today I am using different style - previous onewas a brayered scene, and this is ink duster scene, with larger of tree simply embossed in front of a masked scene. On right is the first one I did, but I stamped the "Remember your roots" slightly crooked by 2mm or so (card for family not living in Oz). I cant handle crooked. So started again!
Mask with paper and repositonable tape two masked pieces top and bottom (on the second one I stamped the tree first, but decided it looks better stamped afterwards, just looks stamped fresher). I always lay down a base layer of ink when doing any sort of inking whether blending or brayer work - use neutral shade like Distress Ink - Antique linen here. TIP: If you lay a base layer, the following layers blend more smoothly.
Then added some hills, with a torn piece of scrap paper to give rough shape of hill and inked this up twice with archival Black ink.
So here are the two cards, didn't waste the first one, I merely covered the offending crooked sentiment with a free digi Bible verse from WAW. Die cut it with Memory Box Pinpoint circles, and the Spellbinders scallop circles, love how them MB dies fit the SB circle dies.
I really loved these cards, the Darkroom door stamps were so great to stamp with. The "Remember your roots " word stamp is part of the Darkroom Door – Gum Trees set.
Thanks so much everyone for popping over and saying hi! And may God bless your day wherever you may be!
Well, it has been a
while it seems since joining WOYWW (see here Julia's
Stamping Ground,) or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday or in my
case ... Thursday! It’s the way things are these days - very topsy turvy, but I
am here!
{I want to link up
also to Word Art Wednesday (WAW) and Di's snippets, see links below.}
Loads of pickies
and first one shows my desk this Wed (yesterday) when finished one card and about
to make another – a thank you. It is on hold and made an emergency birthday
card had forgotten about today instead ~ not enough room though to post it
today.
Okay, at the back is the wee card (which I played and coloured the butterfly stamp on) ... wasn't coloured when it came and lovely atc which will show below was my PiF WOYWW 312 from Soojay. Thank YOU so very much! Also below, on desk to right is the card just finished a belated on but as made it generic, so it wont matter. Front centre is a "thank you card" begun for dad to give to someone, made using one of dad's paintings as a digi image.
Showing this to share how I cut up die cuts (please note die cuts not dies). First die cut is the SB Fleur de Lis square die, make great corners. The second one is the scalloped oval, wanted a shadow reflection in gold. So this is why I did it, the eye thinks you have a whole gold oval unless you look carefully. :D
Gorgeous multi-medium ATC from Soojay, cute plus.. love the background textures + shades of colours! THANK YOU!
On my post below (or click here) you will see I am working to he left on this background hee - I said then I did not know if I like or no.
This is how the background sheet started out .. using some embossing paste, and stencils. Then out came the dusters and ink.
This is it at the end of the inking ..did another
layer on what had done an decided it was okay. Used DI Vintage photo,
Rusty hinge, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed. Antique linen. Also spritzed with "Shine Huey's Mist, which really finished it off, coloured some Floss with ink, too.
At the beginning of the year I won one of the NBUS prizes over at Darnell's, and prize was voucher at Sher Russ' Stamplorations ..lovely clear stamps plus was given two free masks, have used two sets here *Vignette Trendy Feathers and *Bold Sentiments Hello. Love both these sets, and embossed them in Versafine ink, coloured + hand cut them out. Mounted on piece or neutral corrugated card.
Last of all , your Aussie shots ~ a Rainbow Lorikeet on his morning walk on fence top, after a bath in the bird bath, below! they are such clowns!
Thanks so much for
popping over for peek and chat .. will return your visit as soon as I
can, as do love to see your work too. :D I apologise a have not commented on many from last post .. but will do you first, so sorry.
May God bless your day and those you love, wherever you may be.

thirst;' John 4:14a
Hullo there everyone. Well, think WOYWW is on today. Julia is just back from her sojourn in Spain... but y'know wot? I think I had as many visits last week without Mr Linky coming to the party! That shows the real strength of WOYWW! Anyway I do pray that Julia is fully recovered from her unexpected surgery. Just in case, here is Julia's blog at the Stamping Ground, it's home base for WOYWW-here .....
Here without any more ado is my desk, to the left is the card I am working on nearly finished..and yes! lots going on! 5 cards on order for Lee my lady who.likes fancy

I have three ATC's arrive, one from Regina M. Hamilton on Left - my PIF,and on right is one from Neet. I had one from Magret of glitterandglue but it is in such a safe place I cant find it at the moment -sigh.. sorry!
