Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Distress Inking Embossing Folders +Digital Images + WOYWW

{WARNING - Pickie overload yet again!}

Hullo everyone! it's desk time of the week, Wednesday  .. over at Julia's for WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday
Desk earlier today. I have a Fathers' day card to make for this weekend (Fathers day in Oz). Using one of the Sea images made back here. Have inked up with DI Stormy sky + Salty Ocean, spritzed with water in mini mister, slowly embossed to allow ink to absorb, 3 or 4 times through the Cuttlebug.
Have two folders inked and embossed, CB Divine swirls and Bubbles. Latter was inked with DI Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen, Dried Marigold. They're drying outside in sun below. Blues also sprayed with Diamond Dust Glimmermist.
Print out for two cards from my Pinterest. I print digi images with basic Canon inkjet printer, and use Coated Matte Inkjet paper, on high resolution printing. Background is from Saved to Print board and Cats here (painting by Ann Mortimer).

First card, using Spellbinder Botanical die set, with print out from above, and SB Fancy Labels with embossed stamp from Ezekiel 34:26 Showers of blessings, a wonderful promise - a very cheap unmounted stamp from this eBay site here.

Birthday card for Sue who loves cats + green, paintings by Anne Mortimer are wonderful, so glad to find them + be able to pin them. All die cuts are from SB Marvellous Squares, medallions from centre die, shortened the second biggest square to a rectangle on the verse die, can see on one side the dots don't quite line up. Very tricky, best done with prayer :D Dry embossed the DP with Regency Swirls.
Aussie images of the day: Finally visited my neighbour's two Orchid houses, and have three shots today but much more to come. These are all Cymbidium Orchids. Remember it is spring down under.. God's creation is indeed glorious.

A VERY big welcome some new wonderful encouragers!  Blogging is a blessing indeed. A BIG thank you & welcome to each of you, to Bejay Roles in UK no blog but loves Oz, Carrie Sheridan (if you have a blog please let me know so can encourage you too). Last but not least - to Natalie of "Delightful Details" .. a very BIG welcome!!
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, I will return your visit as soon as I can!
May God bless your day wherever you may be! Shaz in Oz.x

... " and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. " Ezekiel 34:26

Beautiful work on your desk, Sahz but I'm in love with those turquoise on white swirls for the Father's Day card...what a fab combination. I really love spirals and that's my favourite colour so it's perfect!

Those are beautiful cards today Shaz. I like that quote in Ezekiel. The orchids are amazing. It's always hard for me to remember that it's the opposite season there than what we're having up here in the Pacific Northwest. Blessings, Betsy

Thank you for detailing how you make your cards! I love the embossing folder effects, I really must try this and the intricate dies you have really bring your cards to life! Sue is going to ADORE the gorgeous card you have made her! She will be delighted! I lament at my poor efforts, but I am so glad that God you to inspire us all and bless us! Aren't your neighbour's orchids beautiful? I have three indoors and they just look so pretty! Autumn is coming, it is getting chillier and the nights are drawing in.We shall make the most of any sunshine we get now before the long, wet, cold, grey winter sets in.....

WOW in deed!! Your cards are always such beauties, Shaz.
Spring...look at you, enjoy it's beauty.
We had rain the last couple of days and I actually had a small fire going all day just to keep the chill out.
I'm still enjoying our summer flowers, but they will go quickly now with all the rain and cooler nights.

Bless you~ Debbie

Really like the inked and embossed backgrounds, I see you've used a technique I haven't tried yet, inking the folders. I've had my inks for quite some time, but it's not that long ago I actually got the tools and courage to really use them. It's quite addictive...
