Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Alcohol Yupo with Diecuts + WOYWW

hi there everyone... just where does a week go?..
Lobbing in very quickly cos it’s Wednesday and time for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground to check out all the best crafty desks .. you learn soo much!
My desk this morning:
I was working on a card made from Yupo background back hereThe stamp from last week is still un-inked as wasn’t well and sitting with watercolour paper patiently waiting.
You can see stamp positioner was in use plus my T Ruler.
This I used to test if my stamp was straight in stamp positioner, as I was Stamping straight onto the finished card - yes, should’ve done it first.. but I didn’t. I stamped it on test scrap inside of an envelope. Thankfully on second go I had it right, used golden glitz brilliance ink as it wipes off stamp easily. Used Versamark and Fine Gold EP on card.
Here is the card completed.

I actually had this (a CCD) die cut done which was a blessing as not 100% and needed it ASAP for a birthday for one of our church missionaries. Looked good on inky Yupo (which BTW is a synthetic paper, can be used with many medium but great with Alcohol esp).

Love this stamp set, it’s KJV, my preference, by Sweet n Sassy, it’s discontinued but you might pick one set up like I did in old stock. Think its called "Wait on the Lord".

Now to the Aussie shots, still not walking so from photos in phone. You can whale watch from this lookout and the migration north has just started. And our autumnal days are as beautiful as this!
So blessed of God.
On personal note, stitches still in for another week, saw Dr re shin today, all cancer removed and non aggressive, biopsy on forehead fine. Much to be very thankful for indeed.
Happy WOYWW everyone, and may the Lord bless your day wherever you maybe, thank you especially if you have time to say hi.
Our day is nearly done here, 10 pm!
Hugs Shaz in Oz.x
Verse of day:
Psalm 25.5 - is a very beautiful goal to have resting in our heart as we walk through our day.

Well, I'm very pleased to hear that the operations/biopsies all went well, what a relief. Hope you're allowing yourself some good time to recuperate. Your crafting is lovely but what really caught my eye was the T square, I do love gadgets a lot protactors, compasses...they all float my boat! Sad, i know.....
Hope you see lots of whales! Being close to humpbacks off the Queensland coast was a jewel moment in my life memories so far xx

Good news, but so much to go through to get to it, no wonder you haven’t been feeling well. You know the power of taking it easy, so make sure you practice what you preach mIss Shaz! Lovely card and also the best description of Yupo that I’ve read so far...a lot of people want to know what makes it ‘so special’ and this is helpful.

Hi Shaz, that is great news on the biopsy result and the cancer! I've never thought of using gold ink - and yet I bought a small dewdrop gold ink. I'm sure I buy things just because I think I might want to use them one day! Have a lovely week Heather x #11

Your card is just beautiful Sharon and I love that scripture. I am so happy you are cancer free with the removal, now you can heal. That is a beautiful photo of Oz, I can just imagine sitting there and watching the whales in the sunshine! With a hat of course! Hugs, Brenda

What a gorgeous card with the yupo and die cut Shaz. Glad to hear you got the all clear on your leg and forehead.
My procedure went well yesterday - no problems with the glasses at all. The one on the top of my arm is a little more problematic than I anticipated, but it will come right. Thankfully all my stitches are dissolvable, so no removal needed. I will get the results in about 5-6 weeks when I go back for the final check.
Blessings
Maxine

Gorgeous cards, Shaz, you are rocking that yupo! I was raised with KJV and prefer it too, I know the ritual of it and don't want a different one, lol. The new Lord's Prayer sounds strange to me. That Psalms stamp is lovely, wish they still carried it. xoxo
