Well, well! I actually started this post over a month ago.. where have I been? *Short answer = “busy”. 😉😃 Doing extra things, including extra time of prayer each morning, in times like these more prayer is needed. That is for sure.. plus other demands on my time. So here I am sharing as the title said stencilled oxides and glimmer paste… love how the colour underneath layers up and shine through. Of course cannot see shimmer in photos!
Stamp unknown, red rubber set bought on eBay unmounted. Masked off that section when doing the two layer, ink then paste stencilling. Linking over to Scrappy Mo’s Christmas Challenge here! And as that stamp “Star of Wonder, star of night, Guide us to thy perfect light” is a NBUS.. Off to the NBUS challenge.. here - yippee!
The die cut and stencil are both MB discontinued. This is card made for a dear couple’s wedding, hindered a little by COVID as groom’s parents, family et al, were in lockdown in Sydney, mercifully groom made it out before it happened.
This card has loads of shimmer in all of the layers but only tiny bit shows. Mixture of dies mostly, bar the fancy corners, are SB - but all disc., as is alphabet, it’s CB. This is a teabag folding card if you want to see how it’s done look on this post HERE way back in 2012! The verse is by WAW, and SB fancy labels, square die is by Nellie Snellen, maybe available, not sure. It's for a very special friend's birthday, and I know she's received it already.Just a few beach scenes to cheer you up, soo pretty …
and have loads more cards to share but no time. 😃
Thanks so much for popping over especially if you’ve time for a peek and chat, your encouragement is greatly appreciated, I’m sorry I really struggle to reply on mobile device, even doing blog post is harder sometimes than other. It’s photos that are hardest. I’ll do my best to comment, but am reading posts .. and praying.
Prayer hugs 🙏🤗 Shaz in Oz.x
Thought for today
When we look around today it is so easy to be discouraged, as things do seem so topsy turvy. Folk, or more especially the media, are prone to cry like Henny Penny that “the sky is falling in”, or like the Aussie poem “We’ll all be Rooned said Henrahan, before the year is out!”
You know it’s been much darker in decades or millenia past eg Isaiah who penned verse below, died by being sawn in half in a hollow log, or as Hebrews 11 puts it “sawn asunder”, hounded to death for disagreeing with government of the day.
We are apt to forget to count our blessings. So here is a verse I love and rediscovered to share, it's something we need to do often, be thankful and praise our Loving Father God. Especially praising Him for the grounding wisdom of His word!
O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Isaiah 25:1
A hymn to cheer your heart to go with it... In times like these… we need an Anchor.. to hold us to the Solid Rock. Hymn link also here if not showing. https://youtu.be/j3jK3x3iMOM

Actually all the cards hav3 snippets but think the teabag is most Snippetty as started it in 2012 and just added bits in bag as tim3 went on so it kind made itself! http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/07/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge_0902861094.html?m=1

How many lovely cards Shaz! Fabulous those with the stencilled stars and the wedding one looks really classy! My fav is the last one, such stunning origami topper, thanks for the link!
Amazing peaceful Aussie scenes!
Hugs!
Gorgeous cards Shaz
Thanks for all the extra prayers at this crazy time.
May NSW get through this latest lockdown without too much more sickness and stress.
Hi Shaz. I am still trying to get around all the RD entries this month to comment on at least some of them, but I am a bit late as it has been a busy week. We had to say Good-bye to our oldest cat, and then the dog had three smallish operations on one day so we are taking it in turns to sit with him so he doesn't have to wear the 'lampshade' collar too much in this hot weather.
I really like all the elements in your card. The stars are interestingly different in their arrangement, and of course the sentiment is perfect. Happy belated Rudolph day. Kate x
Your cards are always gorgeous, but I think my birthday card was the best. Thank you so much! You are such a blessing.
Blogger deleted this comment instead of publishing it. Sorrry.
Sigh. So pasting it here.
Sunshine Country has left a new comment on your post "Stencilled Oxides with Glimmer Paste + Scrappy Mo’...":
You do such a beautiful job making cards! I used to go to more work making handmade cards, but lately have slowed down on that. I should work a little harder on my next ones. :)
Also very much appreciated the Scripture verse you closed your post with.
Lovely to see you here, Shaz. Your cards are all brilliant! Thank you for the schparkle and the link and mostly for the inspiration with your cards, photos, and words!! And thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
Such lovely cards Shaz, I just love the Star of Wonder stamp! The photos of your beach are beautiful, so restful... Praise god indeed for His many blessings and how every hour He takes care of us, even when we don't notice. Thanks for the verse and hymn xx
Such fabulous cards Shaz - and it's wonderful to see you pop up! I was about to email you as the silence was bothering me dear friend. So long as all is well and you're happy - then I am too!
Take care - love from Dudley Dog and -

Fabulous cards shaz..love the stencilling and tea bag cards...loz
Life can get busy Sis, and prayer is always needed, but especially in these times as well as with our age/health issues. I'm in awe of your cards, they are all stunning!! Love the Christmas star ones, so pretty and I bet shimmery in real life. The wedding card is just so elegant, and the tea bag card is just gorgeous. The beach photo's are beautiful, looks peaceful and I might even would get into the water as it doesn't look so rough. I could be wrong though, but by the photo's it doesn't appear to be. Sending prayers to you dear Sis and to your loved ones. Hugs, Brenda
Oh Shaz, what a gorgeous trio of cards - love the star one!! That is exquisite.
Loving your Aussie photos. Yes I do know how busy life can get!! That's why I am late in commenting :)
I am snaffling your Isaiah graphic to put on my f/b page - it so speaks to me at the moment! This is what God has been teaching me also.
Stay safe
Blessings
Maxine
Gorgeous cards, love your blending on the first set. The wedding card is just beautiful, thankfully the groom was able to get out in time.
The tea fold card is gorgeous too, loving the dots with it.
Yes when times are this hard and you see so much hurt going on it is sometimes hard to think to praise God for all his goodness, but may we never forget that!
