Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Butterfly Challenge - Twofer Challenge

Hi everyone, dont die of shock second post in less than four days - when was four weeks silence before that!
However, I must join up with two dear friends' challenges - *Mrs A at Butterfly challenge and *Darnell at the Twofer! Didn't manage either of last time, but these options are easier!
Here 'tis!
Over at the Twofer it's blossoms, Butterfly it's as shown on wheel .. did all but lace!
So did Lavender, Lemon, Light Blue, Layers, and Letters and of course Butterflies! On the Twofer, the items used on both cards were:
1. Blossoms from MB Lavish Branch
(very tedious cutting them, in first card they're inside the butterflies) 2. CCD Stitched Flag Dies, 3. Butterfly Punch, 4. Corner rounder punch, 5. Bling same one on both  6. Snippets, except for two bases all else snippets (but playground shut at minute), 7. same DP was used on both, and two different occasions too!
"Thanks" is from CB Olivia Alphabet set Disc. the "blessed to know you" set below is by MB. EF is Crafts Too.
Now to the Aussie shots... it is pineapple time again. There were two pineapples ripening, I missed out on one as a bird ate it while I was away end of Feb, found top but that was it. Should've picked it before I went, but thought it wasn't ripe enough. This one was small, see my thonged toe on left lower corner, but oo-oooh so sweet, yummo! Best ever!
Centre leaf is lying on the ground, you test if pineapple is ripe by pulling centre leaf. If it comes out cleanly it is ready to eat. Still left it two or three days extra inside though.
Beach shot for those going through withdrawals!! yes, am swimming still though not in that big surf. I go where it is safe, that is too messy for me. Rips plus!
May God bless you in your day wherever you may be, and thanks so very much for all your kind encouragement.

WOYWW - Brayer Iridescent Medium + Brusho cards

WOW! yes another week gone .. and didn't excel in past week, missed a family birthday yesterday (oops!) so posted a belated one today.. better late than never! :D
And its Wednesday sooooooo time for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday ... Pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground! Check out desks all over the world! To my desk!
So on right is an engagement card on the make... all elements there but not assembled. The lily of valley flowers are Spellbinder, I bought die cuts on eBay in white and coloured them, had ten lily of valley, and ten blue bells cheaper than buying dies! but card wasn't grand to colour, a bit poor quality really. I'm a paper or cardstock snob, I think... to left of that is another card been sitting there almost done for ages now finished as birthday card for nephew 3, it will be late I think as is nephews 2, but not showing it. On very left are card inserts already printed out.
This was brayered and stamped (probably Archival Black) years ago.. a true snippet, as are the corners (a square die cut up), I used iridescent medium on the brayer gloss card base with Kaleidocolor pad in blues... or maybe Big & Juicy pad looking at edged in greens.. snippet used for greeting die cut.
IO greeting set, top edgers.

Now these are three more of the ten cards made as "thank you cards set" .. a requested wedding present .. she likes blues and greens, I've been told - so used blue green brushos, on two of them - watercolour resist technique + die cuts on third (used a CCD, comes in two pieces, can be used as one or alter to size). EF is Embossalicious Swirl. CCD for first TY die, and for "thanks" is a CB Olivia alphabet set.
Now to my Aussie shot.. we sat watching the waves this afternoon on our icecream drive :D Am busy next two days, hope to catch up on commenting on Sat. all being well!
Oh, excitement - just discovered have a new encourager of this blog .. a big welcome to Laurie! of In My dream, I see! pop over and leave some love.. she's only a fairly new blogger from Ontario, Canada!
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek, especially if you stay for a chat!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

GDT for Rudolph Day + WOYWW +NBUS#9 Challenge

{Warning - picture overload below }

Well, time for first of 2017 Scrappy Mo's Rudolph Christmas challenge, so this is a GDT post!!
And time to for WOYWW, or What is on your Workdesk Wednesday
PLUS time for NBUS #9 challenge - both technique and item
Where has January gone?? tomorrow is Australia day here- yay!

Firstly my card for Scrappy Mos Christmas challenge and for my NBUS #9 Use a new technique and new crafty item.
My snowflake cheap China die or CCD (to quote RosA of Paperchase) was smooched well with versamark, then embossed carefully on snippet of card in Cuttlebug with rubber mat. (for clear instructions on this technique see here, cards + video by clever Jennifer McGuire). It's called embossed impressions, was so impressed at the method love it, so been meaning to try it.
Heat embossed the versamarked die impression with gold embossing powder. The gold frame edging it was left over from another card with SB Pierced rectangles, gold embossed too,  stamped the ODB " Joy to the world"stamp on bottom with mini Misti.
TECHNIQUE + Snowflake are my NBUS!! Never Used Before Schtuff to quote Darnell!
Say special prayer for Darnell for 27th as she is having surgery on 27th, but like a real trooper she is going ahead with her NBUSes!
Next - To my desk! this morning .. a tip!
Items hidden from view cos its DT work, but you can see some detritus on the desk to guess some die cutting is afoot...  dies to left and other items. Have more interesting desk from two weeks ago, below.
This set of cards were made as gifts for various people and have either been given or posted to them already. Over on Christian Card Makers group on Facebook, there was a long challenge for January to make three cards from a selection of images.
I actually made three cards from one of the digis, and one card from one of the black and white images. The latter I decided to colour hence the first photo below.
Printed out black and white image then coloured it with inks and coloured pencils.
I  die cut it with Spellbinder pierced rectangles (reduced, rather than extended). Added black background to trimmed image. Then Die cut the 2nd largest die from SB Marvellous Square Dies, trimmed it down to make corners as shown here and below.

Added backgrounds made before with brayered embossing folders, CB Swirls and Bubbles folder. Thought they match the sea theme. These not used on another card, always handy to have.

Completed card used die cut from Spellbinder Exquisite labels eleven. Embossed verse is by Printblocks c.1995. a favourite verse for indeed WITH God all things are possible.
Snowy cards with oriental image of birds in a snow storm, love this image hence the three cards. I just have ordinary inkjet printer, but print on height resolution on special coated inkjet paper for clear, good quality images. EF Used is Taylored Expressions Snowfall, and silver snow flakes are lawn Fawn stitched snowflakes, both from Bizzy Bec's Online Store .

Used digi from WAW on first card, with CB snowflake folder debossed and smooched with inks Brilliance blue and silver.
The second card used both above folders and dies.
Third used the Snowfall on back, Lawn fawn stitched snowflakes + stamp, happy birthday from China stamp set on eBay.
Now the photos from Oz as you can see we are enjoying some amazing summery weather. First is the sea looking north from the north wall. the next two are what is colloquially called jetty jumping.. by the younger generation here for many years. the last one is the water park set up each day on the jetty beach the clambering and fun plus!

BTW - if you have made it to here, congratulations! and if you are interested I've shared brushos used with the brayer on the post below. 😉

Thanks everyone who has taken time to comment, you are really appreciated. Will return visits as soon as I can.
May God bless your day, every one - wherever you may be!
