Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Stamping on Acetate with Polished Stone + WOYWW

Well, it's that "middle-of-the-week" day again! Yep, Wednesday is here... sooo 'tis desk time once more... For the initiated, it takes place over at Julia's ("the Stamping Ground blog") - courtesy of our kind  hostess each week you can check out and learn from desks of the world!
Here you can see me working with a card in blue + white theme, (it's my sister in law's birthday in a few days) with a square punch for tiles. Four birthdays in eight days... mm, needs must make cards for each! And two are decade birthdays to boot, so that means a special celebratory poem inside as well! Will share completed card once birthday is past.
The inspiration came in part from this card here from Veronique of OSA for "Any other fold but half" mingle - the blues and half cut out image caught my eye, then saw Irene 's snippetty "inchie" card over here - and hence an idea above began.
Wonderful card by Veronique in Oz - OSA mingle
.. my card for this mingle is this one with Artneko dragonfly stamps including kanji and haiku poem, stamped on acetate with Stazon over polished stone background shown back on desk here.
This is another set from Artneko of Christian stamps - also used on this post here and here and here. Double embossed background shown on this WOYWW post here.
The image of the little Asian girl praying is a Jessie Wilcox image of children praying .
Over at Allsorts their theme is Oriental, which fits perfectly with these last two cards.
To close here is the image from Oz.. had huge chuckle when saw this on a walk..
There sits dog on towel while master takes a dip!
It reminded me in a way of the way the LORD watches over us, too but His eyes are all seeing (omniscient) so it is a limited comparison.
Well, almost short and sweet as have to get back to real work :D  Commenting is limited as have two commissions not started (an illuminated text) and cards, five in all, so must move along. May God bless each of you this day in all that you do - and thanks for popping over and making my day.. you bless my heart,
Shaz in Oz.x

Perfect cards for our Oriental theme Shaz, thanks so much for joining in at Allsorts his week.

Apols for the lack of visits, very much roped into the hospital routine and not much time for anything else.

Gorgeous cards and I look forward to seeing the finished one with the blue tiles...they are so pretty. The photo of the dog made me smile...in my experience it is usually the other way round (dog in water owner on shore) so this was special. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x (#61)

Oh Shaz, what lovely cards, I do like the blue 'tiles' they are super.
I love the dog just watching and waiting. Just as our Father does until we return to Him, and sometimes we can take a long time returning when we wander away.
Bless you
Chris

The squares are fabulous. The shading around the edges is brilliant, really makes them look like tiles rather than bits of cut out paper. Looking forward to seeing the finished piece.

Happy Belated WOYWW.

Hi Shaz,

What lovely cards. I love the little girl with her head bowed in prayer.

Oh, and the dog sitting on the towel cracked me up. Imagine how nice and warm the towel must be when the owner comes out of the water!

Hugs,
Kay
