Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW - Brayer Iridescent Medium + Brusho cards

WOW! yes another week gone .. and didn't excel in past week, missed a family birthday yesterday (oops!) so posted a belated one today.. better late than never! :D
And its Wednesday sooooooo time for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday ... Pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground! Check out desks all over the world! To my desk!
So on right is an engagement card on the make... all elements there but not assembled. The lily of valley flowers are Spellbinder, I bought die cuts on eBay in white and coloured them, had ten lily of valley, and ten blue bells cheaper than buying dies! but card wasn't grand to colour, a bit poor quality really. I'm a paper or cardstock snob, I think... to left of that is another card been sitting there almost done for ages now finished as birthday card for nephew 3, it will be late I think as is nephews 2, but not showing it. On very left are card inserts already printed out.
This was brayered and stamped (probably Archival Black) years ago.. a true snippet, as are the corners (a square die cut up), I used iridescent medium on the brayer gloss card base with Kaleidocolor pad in blues... or maybe Big & Juicy pad looking at edged in greens.. snippet used for greeting die cut.
IO greeting set, top edgers.

Now these are three more of the ten cards made as "thank you cards set" .. a requested wedding present .. she likes blues and greens, I've been told - so used blue green brushos, on two of them - watercolour resist technique + die cuts on third (used a CCD, comes in two pieces, can be used as one or alter to size). EF is Embossalicious Swirl. CCD for first TY die, and for "thanks" is a CB Olivia alphabet set.
Now to my Aussie shot.. we sat watching the waves this afternoon on our icecream drive :D Am busy next two days, hope to catch up on commenting on Sat. all being well!
Oh, excitement - just discovered have a new encourager of this blog .. a big welcome to Laurie! of In My dream, I see! pop over and leave some love.. she's only a fairly new blogger from Ontario, Canada!
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek, especially if you stay for a chat!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

I love the blue greens of those thank you cards, my all time favourite colour! The white die cuts on top add to the fresh look, it's really pretty. And as we had snow this morning, the sunny beach shot is most welcome! Margaret is en route as I type but I think she's sticking to motorways rather than the scenic route down through Wales...safer.

I love all the cards, very different and all beautifull! The quality of paper/cardstock is indeed very important, I am a 'card-snob' as well when it comes to that! I will now be off to Laurie to greet her! Happy woyww, warm hug from Holland. Marit #26

Shaz, I always enjoy seeing your posts and all of the lovely cards. The lillys of the valley are extra amazing! I never have any idea of what your writing about though, as I don't make cards and I don't understand the language of dies, snippets, corners, brushes, etc. It got me to thinking about how my sweet husband doesn't understand my yarny lingo either. I talk about gauge, textures, needle sizes and y/0's, etc. and he says it's like a foreign language to him. But it's clear as day to me.
Well, that got me to thinking about God. How His wishes and love for us are clear as day to us, but a foreign language to others who don't know Him. Also, how wonderful it was that He gave us all special talents to grow into and to love doing. And how important it is to share those talents with other. You give your cards away. I give most of my knitting away.
Love the Aussie shot. Sunshine. Beautiful sunshine.
Blessings,
Betsy

Such beautiful variety of lovely cards. All unique. I love the last photo, water relaxes me and I love to be near it. But here snow and lots more on the way. Hoping in a week or so we are on our way to spring! Enjoy a great week.

Oh my Sharon, your cards are just stunning! I love each and everyone. I am especially excited to see the engagement card with the lilies of the valley on them. I thought they were real for a minute! Great job coloring them. Oh your beach view is just what I need to see today. We are wrapped in ice here, so a very grey, dreary, dismal day here with icicles hanging and ice wrapped trees and steps. So I'm hunkered down and staying in! Spring will come, spring will come.....one day. Hugs, Brenda

Gosh you have plenty going on at that desk..just as well you take ice cream drives, you need the head space! Love the thank you cards, I bet the bride will be thrilled. Great idea with the lily of the valley die cuts, theynlook lovely on that card. Is it a Commission? I can’t think of the last time I needed an engagement card, must be in the age where our friends are too old and our children are....holding out on us!!

Gorgeous brayered cards - the colours remind me of your Ozzie photo. You are good at this kind of card with the brayer included.
Mind you that lily of the valley card is something else - so beautiful. What a lucky person the recipient is.
Now did I imagine you said something about wings?
Hugs, Neet 1 xx (been asleep all day - full of a cold- hope it's not flu)
