Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW 333, et al.

Hi there folks - back after wee break, but still doing catch up, on computer and other things :D
As we are in middle of another week, time for WOYWW Or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday - Julia's blog at the Stamping Ground is home base for WOYWW, over here.
This was my desk a few days back or actually the dining room table :D Ten days ago, was able to go to my second ever craft show (first in 2010). Small by O/S standards, about 8 stalls with our kind of craft (mainly a Quilting show) .. but I was greatly blessed indeed. Any more, would've been too much! Head was spinning as it was. Oh, and you should've seen what I didn't buy :D
Dies ( two on left) on sale + embossing folder $3.95, on "would like" list, as was Inca gold rub, Gilding flakes, Ultra Fine glitter, clear fine glitter paste + wanted to try cosmic shimmer glue. New diamond dust spray, tape x 2, DI pads x 2. "Baby " word die is for card am supposed to be making, in budget if not on sale. Ribbon, lace were bonuses. C
lear stamps (2) made in Sydney by ArtStamps, good price, too. I have set limits on what I pay for items. I also learned lots as they had great demos, however with blogging, we know heaps more that lots of folks there.
Have found going through my images some are unpublished. After blog search, etc don't seem to have been blogged. Only realised after went to show explain about the first ones to a friend as good way of using up soft Prima flowers from stash.
Not great shot of these, taken on my phone, I think and sent off before another was taken.
Used a favourite CB folder Stylised flowers, some Bible verses, one digi the other stamp, Prima flowers and ribbon, pearls etc.
Used SB  Octagon dies for centre stamp by Artneko ( "He Who Obtains has little...He who gathers has much." from book of Proverbs) is embossed. Centre piece is CB Oriental folder inked in black. Used double layer of contrasting ribbon and scored lines on base of card.
Used a rose digi on this.. and don't ask me where from now.. after all file searching, backing up, sorting done in last few days you'd think I know.
SB beaded ovals were also done with clear EP, + SB Fancy labels die used. Verse is a stamp from 1990's from Psalms "He shall give His angels charge over the, to keep thee in all thy ways"
Ah, what a great promise of God's keeping is that?

This is a mystery plant seen in park near my brothers in Brisbane. I am pretty sure it is a native but not sure what. have done google search with no result, if any can help from downunder (or elsewhere) would love to know.
EDIT 9.11.15:
Have had this plant confirmed by ABC Gardening Show as Schotia brachypetala or also known as the Parrot tree.. it is from South Africa. :D
Okay, here is your beach fix, folks .. a lovely isolated beach a bit north of here, pretty to look at but dangerous for swimming because of rips and holes in surf. (Taken on my phone so a soft image)
Well, thanks so much everyone for popping over for peek an chat..

So very, VERY glad... to have our own ShazSilverwolf back on WOYWW - been following her progress from the big surgery, as many others have on  Doug's blog post .. tab at top of sidebar if you want to catch up. ... a BIG Welcome Back, Shaz!!
.. dont worry if you are too tired to comment, just to know you are back is such a blessing.
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

I love craft shows no matter how small - some of the ones we get here are as small as yours, nd there is one a bit bigger that is just stamps... that was bliss!
Love seeing all your cards Shaz, and that flower is beautiful even if it is unknown to you. That beach looks beautiful too.
Blessings

Beach fix thoroughly enjoyed - oh the ozone!
You have been busy with those cards and you went to a show and had a good spend by the look of things. Hope you did not tire yourself out at the show and that you are feeling refreshed from your break.

A miserable morning here weatherwise but I have lots to do indoors so I am not too sad. Love the beach shot though - how I would love to live near the sea! Lovely makes, have fun with your new goodies. Anne x #22

What a wonderful haul from your second craft show, perhaps it was a rather good thing it was a small show or you dining room table would have been overflowing with goodies. I love the stamp 'May God bless your birthday', so hard to get things like that in UK.
Thanks for sharing

Now that is a great collection of goodies from the show. Always good to have a set budget and know your prices before you go otherwise it can all be very overwhelming. Your photos of the beach, tree and plants are always stunning. The tree looks familiar but I can't quite place the name.... Let me have a think??

How lovely to go to a show and buy some new goodies! I particularly like the lace and floral trim. I get through a lot of those making personalised bunting and bags. If I see a different trim in a haberdashery section, I'll always get some becuase you don't know if it'll still be there next time!
Love your beach shot..wish I could be there :-)

Love your cards, especially the last one as that is my fav verse:He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalm 91:11. I am wearing a silver bangle that my DH had made for me with that verse engraved on it. As that is such a wonderful promise, and I know that He fulfills that promise.
Thank you for the beach fix. So calming....
Have a great week,

Hi Shaz. Feels like ages since I was around to do some serious snooping.... However, today is free, John is happily ensconced on his own computer, so I can do a link up and go looking and leaving my thoughts. What a great time you had at the show. Well done. Your stash is great. you managed to find what you needed to, learn lots of new things, and generally come away having had lots of fun. Great!
I like the cards - especially the one with the oval of flowers.
Take care.
God bless, and many thanks for your prayers for John whilst he has been so ill.

Hi Shaz and thank you for those words of welcome. It feels good to be back and visiting everyone,I've been truly humbled by the number of our community who have followed Dougs blog for news of my progress.I'm hoping by next week I will have made it into my craft room-and that is going to depend on whether Hubby thinks I'm safe on the stairs alone! You seem to have got quite a haul at your craft show, even though a small one. That can be a blessing,as sometimes the larger ones get a bit overwhelming.Have a lovely week, love and hugs, Shaz xx

What a great haul you got. I just used Inka Gold for a background and it is spectacular! Can't wait to make a card with it. Your cards are so pretty and so is the unknown flower. Wish I could help you with that. I don't know your ShazSilverwolf but I glanced at Doug's blog and Oh my gosh, she has had a time of it. I'm glad she is home now and hope her recovery goes quickly.

My dear friend, Shaz: God is SO GOOD! How wonderful to know that I have Christian friends all over the world who are willing to pray for me, for my family, and for Word Art Wednesday. I was SO touched by your comment this morning. I want to share with you that God has already been answering our prayers in this matter, and this person is already feeling God's comfort and encouragement. I will try to email you with more personal details. But for now, please know how VERY grateful I am for praying friends. It means the world to me, and I pray that God will also bless you for having a true Christian heart and having deep love and concern for people you've never met. Prayer is powerful, and I thank you for taking the time to pray for my loved one. You are SUCH a blessing to me. Thank you also for sharing your wonderfully beautiful art in our challenges at Word Art Wednesday each week. May God shine His face on you, and give you a peace that passes understanding.

Hi Shaz, thanks for popping over to my blog! It must be so exciting going to a craft show! I've never been! It must be like Eldorado! I'm not sure I would trust myself with my credit card! Great stash and lovely cards! How extraordinary that you would have something as gorgeous as those flowers growing in your garden without you knowing what thy are. And the beach, oh my gosh - my favourite kind of place on earth! Reminds me of Cornwall a little bit. You asked me about the gilding wax - I've had no trouble with mine. I've had it for a while and never got mould on it. It is a bit hard, but I use it with my fingers and just rub it on gently. You only need a tiny bit to show. Perhaps you used it with a brush and got some water transferred, which made the mould grow? Not sure. Mine is by Creative Expressions (the only one I've got) though I want to try some Rub 'n Buff in different colours too. They all should work the same way. Hope you find a way to apply them successfully - I suggest using fingers, just make sure you wash your hands afterwards. Have a great rest of the week! zsuzsa xx

Your flowers are just lovely with that embossing folder, I haven't used that one in such a long time, I really need to quit buying more. Neat layering of the dies in the second card.
I love the pretty rose image, has that vintage feel to the whole card, just Beautiful!
That is a lovely plant that red just pops, I am not sure what it is. Gorgeous beach scene, love that you got the clouds in there too.
Enjoy all those goodies!!

Enjoyed looking at all your beautiful photos. I see many people writing 'using up some of those Prima flowers', I hoard them haven't got many and hold on to them for the perfect occasion. I should probably just use them. Beautiful embossed patterns as well....

Hi Shaz,
A really nice lot of new stash there! I especially like the lovely lace :)
If you ever get to Sydney (just for a craft show), Penrith Papercrafts is usually the best one to visit. (No quilting there, just all papercraft!)
I have absolutely no idea what the mystery plant is? I would be interested to know, if you find out.

Shaz, thanks for you nice comments on my page, The pink was a mixture of Victorian velvet and Tattered lace as I couldn't find the colour I want either.

Gorgeous photos and stunning cards...and lots of lovely stash! A good craft show, however small can mean we spend more than we intended! I bought inka gold too - I will look forward to seeing what you do with it!

Hi Shaz,

Beautiful cards you've shared. I have never been to a vendor show so have no idea what they are like. You made some great purchases! It's always nice to cross some things off our wish list, isn't it.

The mystery plant is beautiful; thanks for sharing.
