Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW #500! Brushos Butterflies + Diecuts

{I've just started a new blog HERE too if interested?}
Mm, here we are in 2019. Seems to me yesterday was 2000 in some ways and a new millennium! It's also a big day for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday. It's WOYWW 500! A huge congrats to Julia for hosting so many times! So pop over to Julia of The Stamping Ground HERE ..
Its also my 8th anniversary at WOYWW! as my first WOYWW was first week in 2011!
My desk is one earlier in week. Trying out some new clear stamps from Sweet n Sassy.. a Christmas addition. 😊
Another desk with some brusho backgrounds. I use scrap cardboard in this case from muesli bars for great watercolour card! Hard to believe below is just a scrap packet base!
Here is the card result a special 40th birthday for a special family member! SB pierced rectangle die, Swirls EF Embossalicious, with stamped watercoloured butterfly by Kaisercraft set of 4.
This card is another colourway for this design here. Also with Elusive Images stamp set.
Rather like the pink lavender and grey combo.
These next ones are also Brusho watercolour backgrounds and they're done as a Christmas present. TH mixed media lace corner, MB swirls, MB butterfly.
Something that made me smile, photographed in a shop!
Now to the Aussie spots. This isnt local but about 30 mins north. Truly blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Photos at sunrise by Nigel in Oz. 😊
Catching an early morning wave! Photo by Nigel in Oz.
We spent Christmas/ New Year here.

Thought to close. I love this verse, a good one for the start of the year.
"He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. " Psa. 40:3
Thanks so much for popping over.
A really huge thanks for all your visits and kind caring comments in 2018.
Happy WOYWW #500!
May God bless you all wherever you maybe.

Hi Shaz, lovely cards. I love those MM dies used with offcuts of coloured stuff for making fab, fast cards. They always look stunning. Great use for those empty cartons, must try that see if ours work as well. Happy New Year, Hugs, Shaz #5 X

Morning Shaz. I wish you a very happy and blessed new year. What lovely cards - you are really enjoying your brushos! Great use of a bit of waste cardboard!! Being a normal person?? Don't think I ever really try:-) well, certainly not too hard, anyway! Hope you have had a great Christmas - enjoying time with family and friends.
Take care, girl. God bless.

Happy New Year to you too. Gosh time really is beginning to run away now. I started my blog end of Jan 2010 and the Butterfly challenge will be 6 in February. I wouldn't and couldn't do without this lovely blogging community. Thankyou so much for your friendship.
Your first into the challenge with this gorgeous brushos background. I really must bite the bullet and play with mine this year. Love the richness of the colour combination against the butterfly stamps. I also like the next card using the pink and grey with the lavender. Thankyou for coming and spinning the new wheel this week. Hugs Mrs A.

Hello Shaz

Happy New Year and Happy 500th WOYWW - such an achievement on Julia's part.

Beautiful cards and views. I have brushos out on the table - no further than that. I have been trying to get back into crafting mode today.
Thank you for the visit on Boxing Day - I had intended visiting everyone but once family arrived that was it. I've not done a lot since - until today. Anne x #18

Hi Shaz, Happy New Year and happy 500th WOYWW. The cards are beautiful. I never thought of using cardboard from boxes and packets, but I'm all for upcycling and recycling. The colours and the butterflies are gorgeous, I'm sure the recipient will love their card. The Oz photos make me want to hop on a plane and come and visit. Should we plan a crop in Australia? Have a lovely week Heather x #33

I love the lavender and grey but I LOVE the blues, I can’t help it, vivid does it for me over pastel every time! And I must congratulate you on that particular fruit bar, what a quality packaging it must be to behave so well under water and brusho! That Nigel in Oz can take a picture can’t he, they are gorgeous.

those are so pretty, I love the look you came up with using the cardboard, I didn't know it would work on that. I just love the lace corners showing the backgrounds.
Yes you are very blessed to live so close to the water, I can see why you would spend as much time as possible there!

Your Brusho cards are just gorgeous, Shaz, especially the butterflies! I love the funny one too! How true... Thank you for your visit and your beautiful comment and the link. It came at just the right moment for me. I also value greatly our online friendship through WOYWW. I am so glad you like our cute kitties! We love them more each day! I'm glad you like my spotty knitting too. It's coming on quite well. Thank you for your good wishes for my health in 2019 - I don't know what the year will hold for me, whether I will need further surgery or not!

Hi shaz, I tried to send you this as an email but for some reason my computer wasn't recognising the address so put it here for you.
I was just over at Shazwolf and noticed your comment about not being able to get large size card. We can get it in the UK but what I have found is easier to obtain is A3 heavy weight Artists water colour paper. It's available smooth or textured and actually behaves better than card if you use water on it so it might just be something more readily available otherwise I just join two pieces of A4 at the back and colour both at the same time and as we normally cut them up anyway it's not a problem.
Hope you have a lovely creative week.
Big hugs, Angela xxx
