Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Penny Black Terraced Lane - Male 70th + RE-SUBSCRIBE + WOYWW

Well, shock, am blogging again, three time in bit over a week!

First of all if received by email, you need to resubscribe, unless already done so. SEE previous blog post HERE!

Also added on that post the actual direct email address to your own blogger feedburner.

It took me 20mins+ to find it,☹️ Google search can’t even take to you to it!

Well, as it's WOYWW (What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday over here at Julia’s Queen of desks), so here is my desk... in photo collage!

Another male birthday card, this time a 70th! Showing a step by step.. as it was a fun technique! I use the video technique by Jill Foster, showcasing the technique with another PB stamp - see YouTube, by Jill Foster. I really was happy with the end result, but did take patience in building up the layers of colour on multiple stamping. I used Tombows and DI .. a base of light Distress Ink to start with then layers, did trees first and steps last. Then when all the varied depths of colours were done to my satisfaction, I added first the embossing buddy over it once dry. Had kept stamp the whole time in my stamping platform, so it was easy to stamp over with Versamark and EP.

I did find I neeed to tape down my Bristol smooth heavy cardstock as it moved first time around with magnets,
thankfully it has two sides! I used her colours for the background inking, and ink dusters, too. The white chalk pencil was used to add the moonlight down the stairs with it, then reheated the embossing powder, so it would settle like it was there all along and not rub off! And when not exact inky colours available, substituted like all good crafters do! 😆

Here’s the finished card. I used a Herringbone CB folder(disc.) extended, on base grey green card, yes not this colour photographed.
It was much softer grey-blue green shade, tried to edit colour but it insisted on staying like this.

The lime green was done in SU Lattice EF, also Disc. Most of my EF are disc. these days. Numbers "70" aren’t on there, but added today before mailing. Though think prefer it plain, ie no numbers, in hindsight.

Here is a link HERE to my previous two cards with this stamp, quite different as you’ll see. Love them all, but think is my favourite stamping technique.

Now to the Aussie photos.

Firstly a local one on my walk. The rest are courtesy of travelling family members, as it’s autumn Downunder, and such stunning sunsets.

This one on coastal river NSW on the north coast.. reflected beautifully.

Two in the outback of Far-west Qld, almost on the corner of three borders of Qld, NT and SA... campfires are the go on these cold nights, but some nights are too cold even for that.
That’s it, dear friends, I really appreciate you, am so thankful you’ve popped over and even more so if you’ve had time to say hi.

May God richly bless you today and praying His watchcare upon you and all those whom you love,

Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x 🙏🤗

Thought for the day:

Today in the midst of the ongoing COVID crisis we are anxious to have all the essentials of life to hand, food and... yess! Including that toilet paper 😂 that seems universally to be the thing that goes first or is limited in purchase as a consequence. 🤔

However in reality the very most essential thing is Christ.

Jesus said, “He that believes on the Son (Jesus), has life, AND he that believes NOT the Son; shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on Him.John 3:36

There’s no big fence outside of heaven waiting for us to sit on.. we can’t sit on the fence in the next life, even if we try unsuccessfully to do it in this life. We’re either one side or the other.

I was only 12 years old when I found the right side of the fence and the salvation promised in my wonderful Lord Jesus, He’s been by my side through thick and thin.

We live our lives getting ready, for school, for work, for the Drs, for the shops, to visit folks, if we’re able to etc.

This life is a life of getting ready.. however are we really ready for the life to come? Which may come for us at any time.

I most earnestly pray so. 🙏

To be sure... read this post here

Beautiful card dear Shaz. All of that wonderful, hard work will surely be appreciated by the recipient.
Your Oz photos are lovely but what touched me most of all is your very personal invitation to your readers to stop straddling the fence and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. He alone is there for us forever and always.
Blessings and love,
Betsy

Shaz that's a stunning card, so atmospheric one to frame for sure. A lovely technique, makes me want to walk right into it. There seems to have been so much change on blogger again in the few weeks I have away. I always feel like a newbie when I get back online. I hope all is well with you? Take care & Happy WoywW Tracey #5

That’s a fab card Shaz, my word you are patient. Twenty something years ago this technique was taught to me by the owner of a stamp company called Mostly Animals. She had created a stamp positioner/repositioner which cost me a fortune because she wasn’t mass producing them, but was certainly the best tool ever. I often wonder if she ever got any credit when all of the big companies launched their platforms. Hope you’re well, wonderful photos, very uplifting.

Stunning card and stunning scenery! It makes me ponder what stunning scenery there will be in the new earth! Eternal life will be amazing, we shall be with our Lord Jesus. Life on earth is a preparation, we need to be ready for life hereafter. We need to ask that question, is toilet paper more important than what will happen when we die?...

Hi Shaz, I have to be honest I've been out Lol! We have a friend who is going into hospital soon and our little group of retired teachers just wanted to wish her all the best so we sat and had coffee but I'm back now. Your cards are always perfection. Wishing you a very happy woyww and a lovely week too. Angela x13x

Hi Shaz, your card is stunning! It is funny about toilet paper being in short supply. I think it only takes a few of those big packets to leave the shelf empty and then people panic. I was in an old cemetery area last week. The sun was shin Gand I was pondering Heaven, when the thought occurred to me that what heavens must be like. I was surrounded by white daisies with their faces to the sun, lots of people just basking in God’s love. Happy WOYWW Angela #15

This is a WOW card Shaz. Absolutely beautiful, such a stunning card. I got lost somewhere reading about how you made it so I think I will have to come back in the morning when the grey cells are feeling a bit more receptive. I always remember how impressed I was by your cards when I first joined WOYWW and you have never stopped impressing me my friend.
I have worked out how to delete those terrible Bots as a group rather than individually and without deleting the comments from others. I think reading through your solution for wordpress did help me even though it was for a different blog.
Love the Aussie photos as always, such beautiful skies.
Sending you lots of love and Blessings,
Neet 4 xx

A beautiful card, Shaz! Your Aussie photos are stunning as always - praise God for His wonderful creation and for allowing us to live in beautiful places to appreciate it. I love your sharing of the Gospel message at the bottom of your post too. Amen to that! I have just added a new page to my blog (tab under header, "New Life in Christ" - time is short and I felt the need to "up" my Christian presence on my blog!) - you might like to see it.

Some not so good news. I have cancer again. Details on my blog.

Happy belated WOYWW and God bless you,
