Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Nativity Christmas Challenge + Friday's Smile at Annie's

Hullo there everyone!
Well, I am reliably informed after prolonged, deep thinking and much meaningful research that....
.... today is Friday!
Well so what you might say? It is important for two reasons.

They were made with a digi image I made from the Rwandan handmade card I received ~ post link is HERE (see pickie above also)
I liked it so much wanted to make more cards with it. So printed up the image and made up thse cards here - two different ways {if anyone wants the digi image just let me know too}.

My funny is probably not very funny cos my resources are very slim.. but here is one that was in our paper, or I think that is where I had it from! and so know how it feels:
Well, thanks so much everyone for popping over for peek and chat.. and may God bless your day wherever you may be..

it is pretty funny Shaz..... people really don't know what to do if it happens do they? But, having said that, I still love to receive real paper or real cards in the real post...with real writing on a real envelope ... it's great fun!

You have been busy! I haven't got a religious card made yet...My Mum doesn't consider she has a Christmas card unless it is an religious card!

yours look great...my Mum would say they were "proper Christmas cards". I had better get some made so I have hers ready for this Christmas.
My email was full...I have to go in and delete the secondary emails that go to our place at the lake. In the winter
I forget to go into webmail and delete them...I just access my emails directly from my computer and forget to erase them from both places...I have just deleted 3000 emails so you should be OK to send now!!!

Hi Shaz

I love the Nativity scene set inside the star .. .. it looks so lovely.

Your cartoon made me chuckle .. .. especially with our internet having recently been down for a week!

Hope you have a good weekend Shaz.

Love Jules xx

So very apt, your little cartoon, as half our town is without phone or internet at the moment. No idea why, but it does seem to happen a lot round here. We are lucky so far today, but who knows. Still if it goes off, I shall be forced to do some actual crafting, after I have made the bread, that is. We managed before internet, and even before phones. I love your dancing Winnie the Pooh. Keep smiling. xx Maggie

Oh, Shaz, that is so lovely what you wrote on lillyboquilts blog. Thank you. It is a joy for me and all the people making the quilts have been so lovely and kind. There's so much more to come.
Have a good weekend. I'm off to make fabric labels before the quilts, in hand, are donated on Wednesday.
Take care,
jo x

Sharon, such a lovely card and I'm really likin' these upcycled cards. You have a winner from this previous card. The simplicity is just beautiful, and your card made it even more so, than it was originally. Good idea about the digi effort too. I thought about trying that, but was concerned about copyright issues. We have some that are so pretty, I hate to cut them up, but yet...better than languishing in a box in storage. TFS. Cute cartoon too. Hugs

what different, unusual yet beautiful Christmas cards! I can't believe you do not get sea glass in Austrailia, you are surrounded by sea? Maybe because of the coral reef? We don't get much for sea shells in maine, I guess that is the trade off:)
