Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW, Blue Wrens and Spring is here!

Hullo everyone .. yes another middle of the week has whooshed into view! It seems to have come extra fast this week cos extra busy... for the uninitiated Wednesday means WOYWW ~ or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday, over at world wide desk hostess Julia’s blog - here!
Okay working on three cards here... its Father's Day in Oz this weekend so the ship card is for dad.. It is is digi printed on two different card ... smooth and rough paper.. and definitely like the one on right which is rough. have put in clouds with the cloud mask there on centre left, used mainly ink brushes to colour the image, with some coloured pencils. On the right are some more digis (all these are free over at Ginny's blog here.. just scroll down)... The digi paper is on this week's post but the old fashioned rose frame and the ship are a few weeks back now. The butterflies at the back are on this weeks post as it s the little girl picking flowers.
As nothing else is going on much will share some pickies from Oz, on my walk two days ago now. About 5 mins from here:
A windsurfer
Blue wren's birds eye view... this is the male of the species, they eat insects... and are really tiny taken on big zoom as they are very shy.
This is the female Fairy wren, also called a Jenny wren... they love it down here near the beach as there are low growing spiky bushes which they love to hide in. I took a great video of him playing "hide and seek" but have to relearn how to edit.. before sharing it.
The first bunch of flowers for spring on first day of spring .. 1.9.14. My first rose it is called Delores and always think of Cardarian when I see it, with lavender, sweetpeas, double white gerbera, with grevillea for greenery.
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek and a chat, may God bless your day wherever you may be!  Shaz in Oz.x

Hi Shaz,
Haven't seen any blue wrens around here for ages. Wonder where they've gone?
Great cards, as usual :)
Thanks for dropping by.

Wow, Shaz. Those flowers are all from your garden?? here we are about to go into Autumn, so I have been beginning the autumn clear up. Trimmed a few shrubs back, and cut back all the Hemerocallis. Some of our plants, although they have finished flowering for the year, have such stately spikes of seed heads, that I am reluctant to cut back too soon.
Those images on your desk are beautiful. Well done - the colouring is great. I love the little girl picking flowers.
Thanks for visiting - glad you feel the desk looks pretty tidy - wish I felt that way. I really don't cope well when things are too messy around me - but it seems inevitable that's how it gets!
Take care. God bless.

Great digi images, and I love the blue wrens!
Yes, I did leave the template in place, popped the stencil over the top & inked thru or stamped thru - very easy to do & great effects!

Hi Shaz, I've linked into WOYWW for the first time and I'm happily snooping around.
I love your Father's Day cards. And I enjoyed the photos of the wrens. I live in the Northern hemisphere and I hadn't realized that it was the beginning of spring down under.
Thank you for sharing your desk.
I'm a Christian too so I shall be looking forward to seeing that side of your crafting.
God bless you too.
Happy WOYWW!

Hi Shaz
Just popping by to say Hi.
Your cards are looking beautiful, love the ship image but as always it's your beach photos I adore. It's such a lovely breath of fresh air coming through the screen when I look at them, you are so lucky to live where you do.
Your flowers are so pretty, our roses have had a brilliant year this year and are still going strong, I love them.
Hope all is well with you.
Hugs Lisax

That vase of flowers is amazing - it looks very professional! You'd have to play a lot of dollars for that so well done :-)
I love seeing the little birds, I have a soft spot for wrens. They may be tiny but the noise they make is massive, especially when they're cross!!

Lovely images, perfect for a manly card, and I agree - textured cardstock ALWAYS gives me a better print. That wren is so sweet too.

And yes, my stamps are in binders as well, but need sorting again - I pull them out, use them, then they lay on my desk for weeks before I stuff them in any available space to get them out of my way. I need to mend my ways moving forward ot the massive tidy will last for a month and then I'll be right back to square one LOL!

Happy WOYWW!
